is this the democracy turks will give to kurds ?? why not stop occupation of kurdistan and let these oppressed 18 million kurds rule themselves ??? you maybe get away from US and the world but what are you going to do with GOD ??????????? your fate will only be like Saddam
One of the many things which differs Turkey from Saddam's Iraq is that you can monitor the issue immediately. As you can see in the video, there're many video cameras filming this terrible oppress. There are probably many journalists there too. So the Turkish media, and the Turkish people openly condemn this unacceptable police force. There are 35 autonomist Kurds(BDP) and 40 conservative Kurds (AKP) in the parliement so the solution will be made in the parliement, hopefully. A side note: There are many other videos in which the PKK members terrorise the cities too, and lynch the cops. http://dai.ly/bgFQ0P After 2:00 you can see the lynch.
violent is never a solution . Saddam did record the genocides against kurds as well but only different they weren't journalists who were capturing it was themselves so show it to people to scare them .. but i hope AKP really solves the Kurdish issue and his words werent just election propaganda , or turkey will end up like Sudan one day ..... but i have my doubts .
if PKK took side with violence is cos turkey declared war on innocent kids burnt villages displace many families and prisoned kids in the name of terrorist , so its an eye for an eye ...
PKK isnt a terrorist org dude , its only after freedom for Kurdish people cos turkey has refused to give basic rights to kurds how else was they to convey there message back to the oppressor !! through the same way they did against our people . if turkey grants kurds an autonomy PKK will give up arms , but if it were a terror org it will carry on after that , so why not try and test it out !??
His words were election propaganda, you guys fell for it again just before the election he said "There is no Kurdish issue" and recently Hatip Dicle have been banned from being parliamentarian in the parliment so that another AKP parliamentarian will enter to the parlement instead of him. So good luck getting what you request, you just won't get it because you keep trusting them.
23/06/2011 18:37 Ankara, June 23 (AKnews) Pro-Kurdish demonstrators took to the streets in the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday to protest a decision by the countrys electoral board (YSK) to bar permanently successful Kurdish candidate from parliament membership. Ankara Securing his seat with 77,709 votes in the June 12 elections, Hatip Dicle, a Diyarbakir deputy from the Labor, Freedom and Democracy party under the umbrella of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) was banned from entering parliament on Tuesday. The YSK ban was imposed because of Dicles 2010 conviction for promoting the PKK an armed Kurdish group listed by Turkey as a terrorist organization for which he received a 20-month prison sentence. Outraged by the decision, the PKK called on activists in Turkey and abroad to take a stand against the Turkish governments decision to bar Dicle from taking his seat in parliament. Protesters on Thursday raised slogans like do not touch my representative and end the discrimination against the Kurds and pro-democracy forces Police held the protesters back from a distance of 50 meters from the YSK building in Ankara, our correspondent in Ankara reported. Among the demonstrators were Kurdish politicians including the Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP)s Ankara official, Sengul Celik who said in a speech that the electoral bodys decision was a blow on peace This decision will lead Turkey towards complications Celik said, we will not accept this. And we call on the authorities to correct this decision immediately The YSK issued a statement saying that anyone sentenced under article 76 (related to the anti-terror law) of the Turkish constitution cannot become one of the nations representatives. A Diyarabkir member of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Bekir Bozdag told AKnews that YSK ruling was legal and that there was no intention to reform laws to include Dicle in parliament membership. In response to the ban and the detention of five other elected party members under the anti-terror law, Filiz Kocali, co-chair of the BDP that won 36 seats in Turkeys 550-seat house, announced her blocs boycott of the forthcoming parliamentary oath-taking ceremony in a press statement. They have considered the decision unacceptable for the people of Diarbakir and the region. RY/AKnews
well the entire BDP parliamentarians have decided to boycott parliament if they dont cancel the decision against their member .
Okay, Alan. Let's clear up some points. Firstly, the war between the Turkish state and seperatist Kurdish Groups peaked in the late 80's and early 90's. What could happen worst has happened then. Over 30.000 people has been died, and most of them were PKK members. I am old enough to remember those days. Some people kept saying Turkey would be the next Yugoslavia and the Kurdish militias would turn (Western) Turkey into hell et cetera. But nothing worse happened to Turkey after then. Turkey kept groving, both economically and militarily. Meanwhile the Kurdish issue stayed untouched too. Second, despite that the Turkish army killed over 25000 PKK members (PKK has 5000 active members in any given time , so the Army destroyed actually PKK five times.) PKK survived. The reason is simple: You can't win a fight against your own people. Either you should take their citizenship or give them their democratic rights. Turkey is giving the rights to the Kurds. That's what is happening in Turkey these days. And the video you posted doesn't help to that. You know what I am thinking about the Kurdish rights, so.
Do you think you're, the BDP, is the only one who's suffering from this? Two of our members also are forbidden to enter the parlement because of similiar reasons but about so-called Ergenekon organization. That's one reason why I call AKP dictators, they control everywhere.
30,000 people dead were all PKK members ? come on that does sound silly doesnt it ? .... what about those villages that turkish state destroyed ? what about jailing kids in the name of terrorism ? what about the kids in the video been attacked brutally ?? are they PKK too !!!

About 30.000 is the total number. About 5.000 is Turkish soldiers. And about 25.000 PKK fighters and supporters. As for the article you posted. I wish we had a Turkish Kurd so that we can discuss things in a more logical manner. I mean, what's this bluff really? -Kindly accept our demands, or our Kurdish youth will turn the whole country into a hell. Well, thanks. I am not buying it. The Kurds should get the rights because it's their rights, not because the Turkish state should be scared of the Kurdish youth. If the Kurds go that dirty, let them go. That only puts Turkey in a right posion.
Let's be honest, the majority of Turks are racist (proven by a recent poll), so the youth have no other choice but use violence, sometimes when your voice is not heard, you have to use other means, and it's obvious that Turkey is not just going to listen to Kurds, otherwise they would have done it by now.
We have the exact opposite reasoning. If the solution were to be achieved only by violence, the Turkish Kurds would have got what they want by now. The tension between the state and the Kurdish groups is nothing compared to the tension in the early 90's. Violence only justifies Turkey's defense budget. However, Turkey is going through a democratic process in these days. Turkey is stepping up to give the Kurds their rights. Their cultural rights are there right now. The Turkish state TV even broadcasts in Kurdish. Kurdology institutes are established in the Turkish universities. The political rights are to be given as well. It's a matter of time, I guess.
its a Turkish TV station with few hours of kurdish broadcast which bans the words kurdistan , and some other words like Here is the list of the banned words: aram: quiet, calm arîşe: problem, challenge, issue artêş: army asayî: normal asteng: obstacle belavok: flyer, pamphlet bijîşk: physician bûyer: event çalakî: activity dadgeh: court (of law) damezrandin: to establish darayî: financial, monetary derhêner: producer (cinema) dîmen: view, landscape, scenery dîrok: history dozger: public prosecutor ewleyî: security erdnîgarî: geography êrîş: attack fermî: official gerdûn: universe girîng: important helwest: attitude, standpoint hîndekar: teacher, trainer komar: republic kovar: magazine maf: right merc: condition, circumstances mijar: topic nakokî: conflict, dispute, discrepancy navnetewî: international netewe: nation nexşe: map nijad: race niqaş: discussion, debate nûjen: contemporary, modern parêzger: lawyer, advocate pejirandin: to accept perwerde: education, schooling pîşesazi: industry pêşkeş: present, gift pêvajo: process pêwîst: necessary, requisite pirtûk: book pispor: expert, specialist qedexe: forbidden raman: to think, idea raya gel: public opinion rexne: criticism rêxistin: to organise rizgarî: liberty şano: theatre şaredarî: municipal government tawanbarî: allegation, accusing taybetî: specialty, genius têkoşîn: to try, attempt; to struggle tenduristî: health wêje: literature zanîngeh: university zanyarî: information, knowledge why the hell then even create such TV show that "words" are censored !?
http://www.trt.net.tr/televizyon/sayfa/canli.aspx?kanal=TV6 That's the live internet version of the channel http://www.trt.net.tr/televizyon/Default.aspx#yayin_akis_trt That's the detail of the broadcast. As far as I know, it broadcasts in Kurdish 7/24. TRT6(TRT shesh) is specialized channel dedicated only to the Kurdish people in Turkey and in the middle east. Anyway, the thing is not that the state should popularize the channel among the Kurds, in fact many Turkish Kurds think the channel is useless, but the attempt should be understood as just a small step to the democratization. Nothing more. Now Turkey is open to the private Kurdish companies to broadcast in the country.
Here's an example of Kurdish private TV channel in Turkey. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4zttldQxUI"]YouTube - ‪Dünya TV yayına baÅladı Kürtçe ilk özel TV izle‬‏[/ame] Dunya TV First private Kurdish channel. http://dunyatv.com.tr/kr/
No problems left, now the name of the satellite is a problem? TurkSat is name of an satellite, which also holds many communication satellites and all of Turkish channels, so sorry but we're not going to change it's name just because of your dislike towards the word "Turk"
