I'm still learning too, TTLD....If the image you're trying to post is already on the web, right click on it...a window will open, then right click on "properties"....another window will open....copy the "address URL" then click "ok" now, right click on the "insert image" icon (mountains) in the forum reply box you wish to place the image, and paste the address in the window that opens...click "ok"....it should post the image address (check "preview post" to make sure) If you're trying to post a personal photo saved in your computer, it must be upoaded to a photo management site like Tinypics.com/Picassa, etc.....then you go through the same procedure.
Click the pic of the mountains that says insert image: Paste the URL of the pic in the text field that pops up in the window. An alternate method is to enclose the link in image tags: PHP: [img]http://rlv.zcache.com/give_me_more_neon_pink_sign_tshirt-d235148284592516487ft80u_325.jpg[/img]
Get the direct url link to the image. Then post as follows: Don't use any spaces. If you have the image stored on your computer, I believe you must upload to image hosting first.
I have to say thanks also. I've been wondering how to post a pic forever, I'm too much of a caveman when it comes to puters.
You can also use the "Manage Attachments" button if you want to upload an image from your pc. Unfortunately, on PF it will only appear as a thumbnail, and users will have to click on the thumb to see the full sized image.
For those learning, when I right clicked on the image there wasn't a properties option but an image info one that has the address.
Most browsers, when you right click an image, will have options to save the image, copy the image or copy the image link. In Firefox when you right-click the option to copy the image's url is "copy image location". In Google Chrome it is "Copy image url". In Opera it is "Copy image address". My IE has been broke for some time now and I don't care enough to fix it. Some sites protect their images from cross-linking by pushing it out using code thereby obfuscating the actual image address. You can check to see if you actually have the image's url by opening a tab and pasting the url into the address bar and pressing enter. If the image comes up... success.
