All children black or white should be protected from vile predators. The post did nothing to address the issue of children being attacked in aboriginal camps nor did it deal with aboriginal leaders that are sex criminals.
However, that wasn't your initial concern with the post. You original concern was: You were wrong: it does indeed have something to do with the topic at hand. Your OP: "Seems to be a trend with "ABOriginal" leaders ... rapist, pedos, abusers.... Good to see this vile creatures demise though, black OR white sex crimes are evil." Bower's post was dealing with the concept of children being "special" and "protected". It specifically relates to "pedos" mentioned in your OP and to "peadophile" in the thread title (because we all believe children are special and should be protected from paedophiles). Completely relevant.
No deflection - just making the playing field even by demonstrating that this is an issue NOT confined to one race, people or culture and therefore should not be used as the basis for vilifying an entire race of people
Did they all become Roman Catholic priests? Seems to me that pedophilia exists in all segments of society, not just the ones you dislike
Fair enough, but considering that child sexual abuse was ONE of the problems that lead to the intervention and that child abuse rates in the aboriginal communities are so high i thought it would be best if we confine the discussion to those thanks. If you wish to start a thread on abuse within the wider aussie community i will be only to happy to join in that discussion too.
Its physical and mental abuse regardless of culture, race, belief, ideology etc. Defending it is supporting child physical and mental abuse.
That's actually incorrect. You're looking at it from your (our) own subjective view within your (our) own culture.
No, we are saying that the definition of child varies with the culture I prefer a culture where women and children are protected but that is not the norm across the world and if you even begin to think it is watch the movie or read the book of "Desert Flower" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1054580/
I am NOT talking about "across the world" i am talking about in Australia. Please stop sidestepping and deal with the issue or stop posting in the thread.
No. You really do struggle to comprehend things don't you. I'm saying that different cultures exist, and they have different views to us. I'm recognising the existence of different points of views; I'm not condoning the actions.
Good so you AGREE that aboriginal people that commit these crimes should be punished for them just as anyone else would be then?
One needs to look at the big picture in order to better understand the local problem. You, efjay, need to look at things more objectively, and in a wider context.
Good, thats all i needed. Now can we move on. We all agree that there is a disproportional amount of aboriginal crime We all agree that they should be punished for their crimes just as anyone else would.
