Only China, eh? How about those in the USA - or is that acceptable to Americans whereas those in China are not?
i think it's like comparing an apple to an orange, by my estimation, government oppression in china is far worse than in the usa but any oppression is unacceptable wherever it may be
you should dig more research on the protest in china, mostly is about inflation, housing cost, wage increase etc. for example there were thousands truck drivers protest in shanhai few month mainly because the inflation, rasing gas price, and increase of toll booth cost for certain tonnage vehicle.
Two things, 1) what is a liberal voice in China is probably a conservative voice in the U.S., and 2) there's been plenty of crackdown on liberal U.S. voices in the past two weeks right here.
Actually they are eerily the same, only difference is Americans are not as keen to politics as the Chinese people and therefore we as a nation we Americans can't "see" when oppression is taking place via legislation, whereas in China, Teinemen Square happens when government gets too oppressive. America = Land of the couch potato
The left needs to get organized and initiate armed resistance. But then, I don't have the best interests of the American left at heart.
What you do not realise is that all the technology is now made in China. The research might be done in the USA, but everything is made in China. All the electronic parts used in stealth fighter jets are Chinese-made. Some of the custom-outsourced electronic components have failed because of the low quality, wasting money. The military contractors in the USA only assemble parts made in China. If there was a war, perhaps the American government would realise how reliant their defence forces are on Chinese factories.
some of the electronic such as IC chip are usually made in asia or china. but most critical stuff such engine, composite material etc are made in US
dujac, you don't think China is interwoven with us?, just look at the tags on your clothes..or your kids toys..oryour lawnmower......probably Made in China...lol
i have no kids, my yazoo lawnmower was made in jackson, mississippi and the shirt i'm wearing ('lawton harbor'} says "made in usa"
don't act dumb, you have SOMETHING made in China. maybe one of your guns or the bullet casings..I'm sure the bullet casings are since China has a lock on that industry, and maybe your guns too because there are only a couple true American gun manufacturers left...Colt, Ruger, S&W and Remington. the rest are most likely made in China or Russia. or maybe your wifes' good China in the China Cabinet?
or maybe the fleece you wear while hunting? or the boots? oh yeah, you got something made in China. could be that Buck knife you own or that Nissan Tundra you may drive. not the truck itself(Japan) but some of the parts in it, China.
i know i have things made in china, never said i was against things being made in china, i drink chinese tea because it's the best the point i was making is that the usa is vastly different than china on many levels [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6FMDgTjW8M"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6FMDgTjW8M[/ame] cbs disables embedding videos, click here to watch on you tube
AND the point I was making is we are not as different as you may think. hence all the "Made in China" references. and as I stated before, it's a reason we haven't bombed them. we are joined at the hip economically. not to mention they own 50% of American land, Mississippi included in that..lol and Ron Paul wants to tax them higher. and I'm all for it.
i disagree we trade, we aren't joined at the hip show me your source for that according to the census, there's less than half a percent of asians in the county i live in and less than one percent in mississippi that goes against the concept of free-markets
Dey lockin' down a whole village... Police seal off Chinese town to crush protest Thu, Dec 15, 2011 - STANDING THEIR GROUND: Demand for land has grown and so have disputes, now one of the leading causes of thousands of large-scale protests that hit China every year
You think so? But even IF you are correct, (you aren't), how long before the USA and China are neck and neck? A year? Two years? After the passage of the Defense Authorization Act and SOPA, it's a matter of semantics and geography.
yes, you're playing a semantics game, i don't have a crystal ball and china is vastly different than the u.s., for one thing, our cities aren't allowed to become so polluted and if there is a pollution event here, our government doesn't lie and say it's just fog
