Well, when you come you start as an observer, the more you post the more credits you get. You will advance depending on how many times you post. I believe when you get reps your credits go up as well.

I have had the flu and I even got the flu shot and still got it.. The key though is getting to the doctor and getting the tamiflu in time. It makes things a little better you are still sick, just not so much. Hope you are feeling better.
