He is socioliberal as much, and that is center-right. No. Socialdemocracy is dead and more in USA.

Socialdemocracy does not exist any more. What we have now in Europe is Socioliberalism or Progressism, that is no more than the Liberalism redefined as leftist, but it does not leave to be liberalism, in other words, rights.

PS: I am using the word liberal as it is understood in all the world except in the expert country in neolingua, USA.

No. The broad labels used in this thread really don't fit.

I know this, because there are HUMAN BEINGS on the various sides that everyone is talking about.

It boils down to being in God's grace. Why? Because NO ONE "rates" as ALL have sinned (and surely still DO sin).

Now, I do see value in holding a person to what they say they are or are about; not perfectly so, but not switching gears... every time it is economically or politically convenient.

Not really. You've got drug prohibition, which is fundamentally a religious issue. Then gay marriage prohibition, which is fundamentally a religious issue. The pledge of allegiance, religious ... where do conservatives line up on these issues?

Part of it may be but I have worked around guys who were (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up before and it is way more than that. I think some should be legalized.

I see it as more of a stats rights issue and much objection is based on religion. Many feel it will infringe on the churches because they are afraid of bring forced to marry gays or lose tax exempt status.I have other objections to it though the first of which is how long until fringe gays puse for AA protection and protected status.

Why do people want it removed?

Generally all against but many for differing reasons.

You fail to see anything other than what you are told is there.

Yeah, no sin is worse, but republicans claim that gay marriage, abortion, environmentalism and not worshiping capitalism or the military is worse than anything else in existence.

I am not failing in that. Just is observation. Have you seen opposition to that from a non-religious point of view? Because I've not seen it. Most of the arguments are purely based in religion. If you are not religious why do you have to oppose to that? It does not affect you in anything. That people do whatever they want.

But as religious you are infected by harming ideas and you're just a mind slave of any of the authorities that you blindly follow. So you believe what they say you to believe.

My concerns have nothing to do with God. They have to do with employment and precedents. They have to do with societal norms and people pushing everything. We can turn this into a long drawn out discussion about the things other than religion that are issues with Gay rights.

They can be gay all they want. Really!

Yeah, pretty much agree with that assessment of of those ungodly virtues of liberalism, but the worst thing to witness is the fact that liberals cannot see their sins for what they are...a pock mark on America and on their own personal behavior and lifestyle.

There is some bad thing giving the women the freedom to choose what they want?

Is there any problem in not having God. Is that a sin? No.

Is there any problem wanting to enjoy the life? Is there any problem wanting to have sex when you want? Is there any problem in supporting equal rights for everybody? Is there any problem or sin in going against the war? Is there any problem or sin refusing the death penalty in any case?

I think that all this is more Christian rather supporting death penalty war, opressing the minorities as Conservative enjoy doing all that.

    Dude, really?

Nobody gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) what Obama would be considered in Europe. In the American, Obama falls in on the left of the political spectrum.

    Where’s the beef?

This thread has no substance. I expected more substance from such a provocative heading.

The usual back slapping over nothing.

How can a Christian NOT support a war if people are being oppressed?

Peace is morally wrong if it means abandoning people to the whims of their evil masters.

Because war is not tolerable. War is war. ANd only peace is the solution. War is only useful for the states. And that is not good for the people. If you like war go to fight in the war. And leave the rest live peaceful lifes.

You don't know the saying violence generates violence. Then that. And more, if you invade a sovereign country without being asked. You can't do that.

A Christian would be peaceful following the teachings of Jesus. Warmongers are anti-christian. And an atheist having to tell you this is to be ashamed as least.

Christ taught nothing about how nations deal with each other.

Christianity is about individual actions. Not actions of a nation.

And I have no regard and utter disdain for the rantings of an "atheist" of all people.

How would an "atheist" have any knowledge of Christianity?

    It is not possible.

For example reading the bible? :-D And because I have knowledge about Christianity I know that is pure mythology, pure fantasy. Like Zeus, Odin, Thor, Gandalf, Raijin...

I don't need to believe in something to have knowledge about that. I don't believe in the Lord of the Rings but I have enough knowledge about it.

If you ever read the Bible then you could point out where the teachings of Christ are meant to apply to nations?

And believing in something at least would indicate you were studying it with an open mind.

    Case closed.

    They're definitely ignoring the Beatitudes.

    "Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God."

But then, so is Obama and all the liberal Democrats who support current foreign policy.

"peacemakers' doesn't refer to peace between nations.

It refers to those who make peace between hostile individuals.

The Bible does say "resist evil" but initiating conflict was never taught by Jesus. If the people of a nation are being oppressed, then it is their own responsibility to fight for themselves and end their oppression. If they refuse to resist and fight for themselves, they have no right to ask someone else to fight for them.

People could be free the world over if they simply practiced non-violent resistance as a whole.
