Have you ever been to, or lived in, the Muslim middle east?

And, so what has that got to do with the topic. I have been to many countries and met many people... but that doesn't mean I know issues from the inside. My sources are valid and knowledgable. What are yours? What do you know about this topic?

People who hide behind an avatar or pseudonym do not impress those who are not fearful and know a few things... and are connetced.

Or are you Margot, under a different pseudonym? Grandmother my eye. No, I don't think so, but you read like the apologist and appeaser, denier, who I have asked who pays her/him to comment. Some Islamic organizations? But she/he denies replying. Frankly, I can't believe most of what she/he writes.

But since this is the first time, I think, that you have commented on one of my pieces, I'll wait for your authoritive response.

I doubt whether O.J has ever travelled any further east than the St.Lawrence or had any social contacts /been to a home of any muslim family. Judging from his posts , he sounds as closed minded as they come.

Are there freedom fighters in the Muslim world? Yes, without question. But not many. And most are Western-educated intellectuals, no match for disciplined Islamic militants operating from an international network of mosques and non-governmental organizations, drawing from a bottomless well of oil money, and more than willing to use violence — or to stand aside as others use it — to achieve their objectives.

Islamists are calling this stormy new season the Nahda, Arabic for renaissance, which is French for rebirth — in this case, they believe, a rebirth of global Islamic power. Khairat Al-Shater, the deputy guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and its recently announced presidential candidate, phrased it (in a speech he made a year ago and which was recently translated by the Hudson Institute) this way:

The mission is clear: restoring Islam in its all-encompassing conception; Subjugating people to God; instituting the religion of God; the Islamization of life, empowering of God’s religion; establishing the Nahda of the Ummah [Muslim nation] on the basis of Islam.

It’s Not the Arab Spring, It’s the Nahda

Frankly, there is no such thing as moderate Muslims as far as believers are concerned. The wise, educated Muslims in democracies generally fear those who believe in the medieval ideology.

Frankly O J - Your source - National Review is not an unbiased or even a reputable source .

And "Frankly " The wise, educated Christians + Jews are generally ashamed + try to ignore those bigotted Christian Zionists and fundamentalist Jewish settlers stealing Palestinian lands with their biblical mythical claims that their god promised the land to them . And the Christians who are encouraging /supporting them - in believing in the second coming when all Jews will finally be forced to accept Jesus as the Messiah.
