What's next for unions in Wisconsin? They have already resorted to sending death threats to the Governor. In the weeks and months ahead, are they going to get violent or will they come to their senses and realize the people don't support them and put away their clubs and chains?

Today, unblievably asinine, the Leftninnies are claiming "victory" because they "won the exit poll", and took a seat advantage in the lame duck Wisconsin Senate, which doesn't even reconvene until , January, 2013, after 16 seats are decided this November.

The poor, deluded fools, are actually trying to trumpet their "victory" last night; astounding.

They are in complete denial, and the previously MOMENTOUS, PORTENTIOUS, HIGHLY MEANINGFUL recall election, is "politcally meaningless, nationally", now that THEY LOST IT....massively.

Utter bullcrap. The UnionDemThugs dumped over $21 million into this recall.

Spare us the bullcrap, as you attempt to pretend that the WORLD didn't just witness a resounding REJECTION of all things LEFT...

if the Scott Brown election did not wake the dimocratic party up and show them the future for the 2010 midterms then why would anyone think this would wake them up for 2012 ? dims are in a world of their own and pointing out reality just irritates them and makes them testy

And you can thank your party for that. The party of dependency.

No I'm not snooty enough if I didn't have a job to frown on 7.25 an hour. Not sure you want to compare salaries ;)

Walter Russel Mead summed it up nicely

    http://blogs.the-american-interest.com/wrm/2012/06/06/the-people-united-go-down-in-flames/

teh progressives have a major problem in America in that most of us still want to earn our own way, not have it handed to us. Dimocrats have evolved into the we want your money because we are too lazy to earn our own party.

What actually matters is what an EMPLOYER thinks you are worth. The employer WILL pay you exactly what YOU show him you are worth to his business. Your 8 hours are of NO VALUE to an employer, it is what you produce for him that is of value.

Things are not 'bad.' when welfare pays more than minimum wage. The GROSS stupidity of government is clearly demonstrated when welfare pays more than minimum wage. Along with the idea of a minimum wage also being grossly stupid.

As a friend of mine just mentioned, reading this Grok "Good. As long as they are in denial...their "fight" will be lackadaisical. LOL.

I think there are quite a few more shellackings coming to the leftist politicians. I have been quite interested in seeing what 40 years of democrat domination was actually going to look like. I never thought it would look like what we have been seeing.

Utter tosh. Your employer will pay you the absolute minimum that they can to get you to do the job. Your "value" or "worth" to the company has absolutely no bearing on your compensation.

With a defeatist attitude like that, you will get paid minimum.

Big Labor is Dead! Long live Big Money!

Seriously, union membership has been in a nosedive for the last 30 years. Unions add no value.

It's also grossly stupid to have welfare pay you less than you need to survive.
If you work for a living you should earn a living.

You earn what you can sell your skills for...if the market value for your particualr skill set is low...UPGRADE YOURSELF.

You can probably get help to do so, from your employer, your state, or even Federally. Investing in workforce skills inprovement is a wise use of taxpayer funding.

Not if you are a valuable employee, they will pay what it takes to retain you on the job.

Then make sure your labor is worth it to the person employing you, they owe you nothing more than what your produce for them.

This is to be expected, as the two are irrelevant to each other except where the employer calculates the cost of not having the work done or having you perform some other work.

The actual value of your labor, like the value of anything else, is somewhere between the least you would accept for doing the job and the most that an employer is willing to pay you for that job. If there are a lot of people willing to work for less it will drive down the amount the employer is willing to pay, if there aren't many or the job is critical it will drive up that price. If the work is hard or unpleasant, it will drive up the amount you are willing to take, if you are desperate it will drive down that amount.

Somewhere in the middle is the actual current market value.

Being paid minimum wage is basically your boss telling you they would pay you less if they were legally allowed to.

No. Get a couple roommates, and share a 3 BR 1 bath in a trailer park. Eat ramen a lot. Its free, so those free-loading can ****.
