Are you voting for Romney because you actually like him as a candidate or are you voting for him simply because thats who the GOP chose for you to vote for? Just curious. If you do like Romney what about him appeals to you?
They usually say that they like a) that he owned a business and b) he's not Obama. I mean...what else can they say? The dude is a stone cold progressive.
I mean personally I don't think theres anything good about Mitt Romney. I'm sure you'll agree. But I mean if more people considered the fact that they wanted an actual GOOD president they would vote for someone who can actually do something positive rather than just someone they could stomach more than Obama.
IS Obama any good? Has Obama accomplished anything in his life, other than happened to be at the right place and right time? The time when dems needed a poster boy? Romney is gonna bring back the tax cut, he is going to down-size government employees, yes, those (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s in DMV can shiver all over this idea, he's gonna lower trade barriers, he's gonna deregulate the market as much as possible. He is gonna be an anti-Obama, he's gonna be you liberals' worst nightmare. How 'bout that?
I'm not a liberal. I'm a conservative voting for Gary Johnson. You're right about one thing but not only is Mitt Romney as president Obama's worst nightmare, he is EVERYBODY'S worst nightmare and I and others will prevent him in any way shape or form from becoming the president. Maybe then the GOP will start picking candidates who can actually do the job right. And no Obama isn't any good IMO. I think he's a horrible president and I don't want him in office either. Ideally if Gary Johnson became president I'd like that. Though even though it won't happen I still plan on showing my support by voting for him.
What is this crap "the GOP chose him for you"?? Did we not have a primary? Was there not an entire host of candidates fighting like cats and dogs and ripping each other apart on stage all spring in order to win the nomination? Yet somehow the libertarian candidate lost miserably. Didn't even stand a chance. Unless you can prove Ron Paul had more votes than Mitt Romney in the election. I'd say the GOP chose it's own candidate through a very thorough debate/vote primary mechanism. Just because you don't like the majority opinion of most republicans does not mean that Romeny was "chosen for us" by elites. We voted and there was no tampering or faking of votes. So what exactly is your problem? That you don't like your fellow Americans who aren't "libertarian" enough for you? Americans haven't been majorly libertarian since Goldwater. Now go back to spraying chlorox into the sky to neutralize those chem trails. It is 2012 not 1964. The days of isolationist foreign policy and anarcho-capitalist thought are long dead.
Sorry I'm not part of the corrupt electoral college so no I didn't pick Mitt Romney and neither did many many others.
Actually whoever helped him to win the primaries will be. They basically handed the election to Obama on a silver platter by picking McCain and Romney to run against him in the first place. If everyone is so bitter about Obama you'd think they would get serious and choose an electable candidate. I guess nobody wanted it badly enough.
LMAO Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are not electable. Most Americans think of them as mere nutjob protest candidates. Ron Paul/Gary Johnson/Insert other radical nutjob here have about as much chance of getting the mainstream vote as the Candidate for the Communist Party of the USA. Mainstream Republicans are not libertarians, they simply share some agreements with Libertarian philosophy. No one wants to return to the economic and social policies of the Gilded Age.
I'd rather have a nutjob protest candidate than someone like Rick Santorum in there wanting to throw gays and Muslims into the gas chamber. And I'm sure thats the kind of person the GOP will have in there after Romney loses to Obama unless things change and the independents can be taken seriously. Though I will say if its a choice between Santorum and Biden as much as Biden is a complete tool if I only had those two choices I would pick Biden. Hell I'd see Matt Damon become president before I ever saw Santorum in office.
I'm pretty sure that the people of NM don't think GJ is a "nut job". Anyone want to do a side by side of GJ vs. MR or BO? If people actually voted on issues instead of being sheep herded by their partisan masters GJ is the clear winner. Oh well, the GOP will likely reap what they've sown this year, have fun voting for your candidate that created RomneyCare and his running mate that voted for virtually every single bailout put in front of him. The notion that either of them are for smaller government is the height of absurdity.
You don't read the news them. Ron Paul won the youth vote by popular poll, won the military, and has the independents which are at about 40% this year. The only things he didn't win were primaries/caucuses where you had to be a RNC member to vote in. Exactly why we shouldn't vote for Mitt Romney. He does not share our values.
