I've heard others propose similar ideas. Thing is they will feel differently when they themselves have to take the dole. You never know what life might bring you. Besides it's an unworthy notion that a sector of citizens would be denied the right to vote due to their economic circumstances. Even homeless individuals have a right to vote. This is America not some back water 18th century British colony.

Ah but again there is no "right" to Welfare. What is your compromise? There is no "compromise" for the "poor" to vote THEMSELVES the FORCED larges of others...

Don't have to change the Constitution, just change Welfare eligibility laws. Anyone can voluntarily NOT do anything (but buy health insurance thanks to Democrats). Anyone taking Welfare can voluntarily NOT vote, or suspend their registration. If they want to vote nothing says they MUST (or should be eligible) TO take Welfare. Simple as that... We make Welfare too easy to get, and too cushy on which to stay on in this country. Want to conduct a true “War on Poverty?” Make taking Welfare uncomfortable! The rolls will drop and there will be less poor...

When was the last time Democrats legally changed the Constitution to allow their wealth distribution and social engineering schemes which are violative of the enumerated powers found in Article 1, Section 8 and enforced by the Tenth Amendment? Democrats have created a lawless Free-for-all literally! :omfg:

Oh I see what you are getting at. Yes well if you want my personal opinion on welfare I think it should be gotten rid of. If we want to hold ourselves responsible for the truly needy in our midsts, I advocate vouchers for food, clothing and housing. Also if a person can stand, feel with their fingers and see and hear, (providing they are mentally capable) they should have a task however small it may be that reduces the overhead cost of running such a program: Type, stamp, man phone lines, maybe even assist in building housing, social security and welfare offices.
I know this may sound austere to some but we would make a point when introducing this program to hold ourselves accountable in respecting the efforts of these individuals treating them with respect. In this way only the person himself puts a stigma on his status and will (I think) naturally strive to improve his conditions.
Our voting rights tho imho should never be infringed unless we have committed a felony or treason etc.

Actually I think States that spend too much should not have the same amount of electoral votes, or those states should be divided into some sort of districts for those votes. You cant have one State living large off the others and the other States operating within their means paying for them.
Greece expected Germany to just pick up their tab,,Germany said,,,,,,perhaps,,,IF YOU GET IT TOGETHER!

We should look at it the same way, if not then the sky is the limit for these grubber States, California is a mess. How else can we make them understand?

I'd say that only practicing Catholics should be allowed to vote:

What's funny is if poor people weren't allowed to vote..NOTHING would be different. LOL. That's directed at both sides of this argument.

The people most likely to vote against me should not vote!
Because other than taxes and welfare the government has no effect on your life!

Speaking of dumb, I had also posted the need for there to be a simple American history test to be given and passed by every potential voter before they're given the privilege to vote. Anyone who doesn't know who our current president and veep or our first president is shouldn't be allowed to vote. We have posted many videos showing the utter ignorance of the obama voters during his 2008 election cycle. Surely you don't want to re-live those embarrassing moments highlighting the dumbness of the democraps/liberals enmasse. Only people who have 'SKIN' in the game should be allowed to vote.

What a ridiculous anti-democratic thread. And people like this nut think liberals hate America.

Well, the most powerful liberal in America today-obama does hate America with a passion. Go back and re-live his European/Mideast apology tour for confirmation on that. Liberals also hate success, businesses/corporations, entrepreneurs, the wealthy, GOD, and a self sufficient energy producing America. You might also get a clue of obama's abject hatred for America by watching the documentary '2016'.

I'm a taxpayer and I have first hand knowledge of how rich people have been voting themselves a bigger share of MY money every year since Reagan.

If we're going by who has the most to lose in each election then the poor should get 2 votes.

According to the constitution, each citizen of the country (for an example USA), he's allowed to vote and influence the elections of the presidential plot. I disagree with your conclusion; you're wrong, poor people sometimes are much smarter then people whom won millions because they're successors of their relatives. Also, what is the number of approximately month-profit for the family of the 'poorish'? This is a bad conclusion, I don't like it.
