The best part of the election next to Obama winning a second term was watching FOX news squirm and spin their web of lies. It was comical. Then just when you think it can't get any worse. They talk to Karl Rove. Absolutely classic! It was great seeing the party and people that run on and praise personal responsibility try again and again to come up with a reason it wasn't their fault. I loved it. Thank you FOX news for once making it enjoyable to watch your channel. BTW Megyan Kelly is super duper hot!!!

"Is this just math you do as a republican to make yourself feel better? Or is it real?" The best quote of the whole night! :-D

It was hilarious, and a bit sad, watching Turd Blossom refuse to accept the reality of the drubbing.

The right-wing was told by their corporate-owned media that everybody thinks the way they do, that liberals are evil and there was no way President Obama could win... plus "we're also going to win the Senate!"

Only 4 presidents in the last 100 years have won more than 50% of the vote twice. Ronald Reagan was one of these, Roosevelt, Eisenhower and now President Obama.

Their whole world-view imploded last Tuesday and now they are blaming everyone but themselves.

    And your point is?

Obama won. . .and that should tell you a little about how bad the Republicans and their "android" man did!

As the FOX lady said, "Is this just math you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better?".

What is interesting is the fact that so many"libertarians" are coming out of the woodwork. Cognitive dissonance I suppose.

It was more hilarious watching the liberal news outlets during the 2010 asskicking.

I'm sure most of the democrats have blocked that out of their memory however but I distinctly remember them simply at a loss for words.

Its about the only time I've seen Rachael Maddow shut-up lol.

The difference was nobody in the liberal media was constructing an alternate reality to suggest that the Dems were going to gain seats. They were fully aware the Dems were going to take an ass kicking of some magnitude before election day.

So rather than comment on or address the issue at hand you choose to say, "I know you are but what am I." Why not tell me what you think about what I said? I agree with you MSNBC was at a loss. But as many have mentioned they were not trying to place the blame on others. If anyone paid attention after the first debate I saw so many on MSNBC so angry at Obama for his poor showing. Even though they tend to put him on a on high they were still willing to admit his faults. This is something I think FOX has trouble with. Oh well....

Very well said Tod. The problem I see then and even still after that crushing defeat is that because of their limited source of knowledge (Fox and Rush) they never hear an opposing view point. Therefore they truly think everybody else in the country thinks just like them. And they were truly shocked that Romney lost. It will be interesting to see how the next few years pan out. The 2014 election will be very telling. Will they regroup and change or will they become the Whig party of the 21st century?

It's the cons MO, deflecting. When clearly wrong they always deflect to the evil dems being more wrong, or at least they try.....

The sad thing is that most used to. When they were a decent and respectable party. Before the hateful extremists Tea Party and libertarians took over. You could actually have a civil discussion with a conservative. I still do with many of my republican friends. They agree that the party has gone way to far right.

You are right there Craft. It seems that now a days the Cons have very little understanding of the opinions of others. They have become a very hateful and selfish group.

I do remember having rational discussions with cons, but I think they left the path of 'rational' back in the 90's when newt was speaker of the house.
The *********s did indeed make things much worse, they took 'bat poop crazy' main stream.

I thought John Huntsman was the best candidate. Sensible, pragmatic and statesmanlike. They need to start grooming more people like him. How any of those other clowns could have lasted beyond him in the primaries is something I will never comprehend!

Like how the democrats blame Bush you mean?

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.

Most of the conservatives I know figured Obama would win, as did I. I think it rather funny actually and I have my "I told you so's" all ready to go.

I think Republicans, just like the Democrats in 2004, really thought they were going to win this election. I didn’t. I had figured out by August that the President was going to win this one, so although I was disappointed in the election results, I wasn’t caught by surprise. However conservative media totally blew smoke up the collective asses of Republicans for the past month. Two of the biggest conservative radio talkers, Hannity and Rush, opined that the polls were wrong, and they were way oversampling Democratic voters. Every major guest on those shows and Fox news gave basically the same story. Bill Clinton’s former pollster Dick Morris promised not just a Romney win, but a Romney blow out. Michael Barone, who is actually a respected political analyst, not just a shill for the right, also predicted a big Romney win. So Republicans were caught by surprise not only an Obama win, but by how quickly and handily it was done. Karl Rove was still disputing the results after Fox News had already called the race for Obama.

Well if you listen to Rush or Hannity for information your setting yourself up for failure and the republican polls that were favoring Romney did not have the best records of prediction going into this.

I thought Romney had a decent chance but he had an uphill fight in the electoral college so it was no surprise when he lost.

Surprisingly I agree with you. Of the primary candidates, Huntsman was the one with the most conservative record; far more than the 7 dwarves or moderate Mitt. If a year and a half ago, the average Republican primary voter had been given the candidates records unattached to any names, they probably would mostly have picked Huntsman.

Where Huntsman screwed up, was instead of trying to win the votes of Republican primary voters, he tried to win the love of the MSM. His campaign manager was notorious for his contempt of Republicans (not unusual for Republican campaign managers *cough* Steve Schmidt* cough) and thought trashing Republican primary voters in interviews with the media was the way to win the primary race. I would say the actual result of that was predictable.
