You kill four times as many proportionaletly than us. Kick 'em to death, do you? Smack 'em, do you? Come ON! You throw guns round like bloody confetti, and so your arguments here mean more and more people die. Take in the guns!

Here are a few facts about armed Americans:

-In 1982, the town of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed an ordinance which required all heads of household to have at least one gun in the house. The burglary rate immediately dropped an astounding 89 percent. Ten years after the law was passed, the burglary rate was still 72 percent less than it was in 1981.

-Armed citizens shoot and kill at least twice as many criminals as the police do every year in this country (1,527 to 606).

-A 1996 University of Chicago study concluded that states which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder rates by 8.5 percent, rapes by 5 percent, aggravated assaults by 7 percent, and robbery by 3 percent.

-According to the National Safety Council, with guns being used 2.5 million times a year in self defense against criminals, firearms are actually used more than 80 times more often to protect lives, rather than to take lives.

-A 1979 Justice Department study entitled Rape Victimization in American Cities, concluded that of more than 32,000 attempted rapes, 32 percent were actually committed. But when a woman was armed with a gun or knife, only 3 percent of the attempted rapes were actually committed.

-Another Justice Department study found that 57 percent of felons agreed that "criminals are more worried about meeting an armed victim than they are about running the police."

Australia and the UK are ISLANDS that do not have a lawless criminal-run nation right on their border! They are not overrun with illegal-alien gangbangers.

Nah, far too much like a rifle-and a scope on a bow? Where's the fun in that? Do you ever hunt with a composite bow-archery is my sport, mainly target.

Not very sporting. I hunt with an ax-handle and a stiletto myself.

I hunt with my regular bows on occasion. I mainly use my crossbow for hunting, when playtime is over. I've been looking into getting this baby.

Do you know what "NRA" stands for ? "National Rifle Association", and "National" in this case stands for the United States.
Looks to me like you're from merry old England, so how about worrying about your own "national" affairs, and leave the NRA to who it belongs to ? How about it sparky ?

Be honest man. You like killing for the sport of it. It has less to do with feeding your family than it does with "cool killing gadgets". It's all about the hunt. I asked a hunter buddy of mine if he beats his chest like Tarzan when he kills something. He said he doesn't like killing. So...that leave what? He gets off on killing live things. Admit that much at least, then realize, that to take joy in the death of something living that was no threat to you is pretty sick. You want to eat you can go to one of the 8 gazillion Walmarts everywhere. It ain't about eating. It's about the pleasure you derive from killing. Plain and simple.

If you eat meat that is being a hypocrite, paying somebody to kill it for you makes you no better then the killer. If you eat meat you cause animals to be killed for your diet. While you might not feel as guilty, you are. I have been a hunter since I can remember, I enjoy the hunt and the reward of food. The kill actually lets you know where your food comes from and the price that something paid for you to eat. If you are not a vegan you have no right to judge. Hundreds of animals are killed because of you every year. Your money pays for their death and profits their killer.

Yes, don't give up without a fight like those cowardly kids in that school who just hung around waiting to be shot by some idiot with a legally held gun.Stuff the NRA idiots who put money ahead of lives.
Yes folks, that's the long and the short, they make piles of cash from the arms industry while your children are killed by NRA greed and stupidity.

The NRA is not responsible for the deaths of those children. The killer who got exactly what he wanted he was made famous by the media(no the media didn't kill them either) 20 years from now the victims will be forgotten no one will remember the names of those poor children and teachers but they will know his name. The video games some of which are disgusting did not cause it either. Plenty of people play those games and don't go kill little children. Mass killers and serial killers are evil people and passing laws to deal with extreme and rare crimes are usual ineffective and based on emotion not reason. To be blunt our government has more than likely killed far more children than this in various countries this year. Sometime you just have to accept bad things happen that can not be prevented.

No, it's not, and that's me being honest.

And anyway, what's the difference between buying meat somebody else killed and just killing it myself? Either way, the animal dies and gets eaten. Only difference is I don't abuse it when I kill it.

right, and just think, every animal killed for food reduces the amount of animal farts fouling the atmosphere, we are saving the planet from global warming by shooting animals.

If meat wasn't available, I'd eat something else. Point is you don't need to hunt to kill to eat. You do it imply because you enjoy the hell out of it. The abuse part....somehow, it makes you more honorable because you "humanely" kill it? Did you ask the killed whatever if it felt "humane"? My whole point is simply that it has nothing to do with the necessity of eating. It has everything to do with killing for sport. That's all....there is no other possible reason when it isn't required to eat, except for the pure enjoyment of the kill. You're not being honest.

Obviously I wasn't clear enough. Let me try again.

    I don't enjoy killing. You're (*)(*)(*)(*)ing wrong.

Get through that time? No? Oh well. Save your self-righteousness for someone who gives a (*)(*)(*)(*). No matter what happens to our economy or the nation as a whole, my family will still live on comfortably, happily, and well-fed because of the skills I learned.

The NRA is acting as extremely ignorant as the extreme Right.

NO ONE IS PROPOSING TO TAKE GUNS.

The second amendment says, "A well regulated militia". Obey your constitution Righties and NRA. Allow America to regulate according!

I'm quite comfortable with my morality. It is your lack of a consistent morality that I question. You go buy your packaged meat pumped up with who knows what from your "fat cat" WalMart pals so you can pretend like what you're eating didn't have a face at one time and I'll advise myself concerning the food that I eat.

    That's a simpleton sound-bite from a simple mind.

It would be like saying, "The Constitution says, 'The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators'. Obey your constitution [insert boogeyman here]. Make sure America only has two Senators total!"

Paying someone to kill for you makes you no better than the killer. I can get hundreds of pounds of meat for a $25 dollar license. I also help prevent deer from becoming overpopulated the remaining deer are healthier and my garden does not get as much damage. Win win situation.
