:alcoholic:Cheaper to buy from overseas. HaHaHa. Just what do we do if they suddenly come out with their true picture of how they really hate us overthere and decide to cut us off. Stock up on your TV dinners little one.

It's an issue of food security.

If there is a dockworkers strike and we have a shortage if iPads and Androids for a few months we can live with that.

But if a drought in Russia or a revolution in God knows where creates a food shortage in America that would really suck.

    Collectivist? Should I say Fascist?

What is collectivist about cutting off the bailouts after three years of bailouts starting this year?

Collectivist would be to continue to allow the farmers to grow the crops they have always grown which no longer work in the long term climate, and continuing to bail their sorry asses out year after year.

Collectivist can also be termed sending all that Blue State and Texas money to all those other Red States just to keep their States functioning. That's before we even consider the topic at hand.

Be careful with your Fascist terminology. Ayn was a Soviet, she programmed you well.

I am tired of my money going to idiots and ingrates.

I'm sure Texas would like to see some of their Revenue not going out either.

Texas has a stake in this too, we are not entirely talking about Blue States here footing the bill. You have Blue States and Texas footing the bills.

One of the problems here is that Texas is in the worst zones to be in. They are going to want more and more of their taxes kept to themselves to cover their losses, and I'll be damned if the Blue States have to pick up the slack supporting the flyover States.

Anyone have any ideas on how to reeducate people who are loathe to education in order to provide their States with an economy where none exists now? I just don't see that happening. About all they are good for is menial factory work, they don't have the education for much else. Oh, and please don't go saying that they are supporting anyone other than themselves. I can provide a list of the Red States that are going to be hit the hardest. They don't have economies enough to support their States without having to leech off the Blue States and Texas.

Before you go talking about getting rid of Collectivism, maybe you should consider this. I am not entirely in disagreement on getting rid of some level of Collectivism, and this is one area where the payoff would be huge.

It's cheaper to buy the food elsewhere. We don't need them. If they want to be needed, then they need to think about this debate, and decide that Reality is better than snorting Koch.

That's the beauty of the global economy. It's called diversification.

If the Dockworkers/Stevadores strike, maybe you need to agree to pay them more. They work their asses off.

Like I said, I am all for American farmers, but only if they stop snorting the Koch. Three years is enough time for them to determine what crops will work in the current and projected climates of their regions. These are long term, the predictions are well known.

Remember. If the Right won't support a cutoff, you WILL see a movement that will pale the Tea Party, and at that point, we won't give a damn about these uneducated propagandized redneck morons at all.

We don't have to be nice to them as a people. I know many of them. I have heard even more on the radio. They are all sleaze. The people they elect are even sleazier than they are.

I don't know, it doesn't mean what Dick Armey, or John Boner said?

I think I know what it means.

    It means cheaper food.

It means an economy that doesn't fall from recession into depression because of a bunch of uneducated propagandized farmers tripping out on Koch.

One other thing the Right is going to have to learn is respect. Quote Ann Coulter in front of me, and you'll be damned lucky to get the time of day. Oh, and since you quote Ann, I think I need to tell you, I feel the same way about you. So, if that's you needing an ambulance someday, I hope you don't ask me to provide you with healthcare. If your phone doesn't work, it's not my responsibility to provide you with healthcare.

See how easily things get turned around? I would refuse to call an ambulance for an Ann Coulter fan, I'd sit there and show them the same respect they have for me, and watch them die.

You Righties just don't get it. There is a point where it all comes back on you.

The much more massive WARMING that took place 10,000-12,000 years ago, which FORMED glaciers, as well as the Great Lakes, while melting a solid ice sheet, up to 1000 meters thick, which covered almost 30% of the Northern Hemisphere, but was melted atr a rate of MILES PER DAY.

All this without a SINGLE SUV, or a SHRED of human industry, other than the occassional campfire....

Kinda DWARFS the claimed "catastropic warming" that the Warmist Deluded keep LYING about...

    Dontchu worry....

Im double covered. I get healthcare from work, and from the VA.

Maybe you should consider serving your country, instead of serving yourself.

Lulz..... centrally planned "common good" and "it takes a village" and "it's for the children" are all deceitful, emotionally extortive narratives pimped by the progressive left....... I'd say relatively stable food availability and costs would go a long way in satisfying those collectivist aims, no?

The problem with your ilk is you're all over the map with the definition of "common good".....

you want more and more money from "the rich" while padding their pockets with inflationary, borrowed and printed Keynesian "stimulus" that ultimately devalues the purchasing power of your poor and disenfranchised "victims'" meager earnings...

you want more "security" provided for your "victims", while enslaving them and untold generations of their descendants to mountains of debt....

you want to raise taxes on evil corporations...that just embed your taxes in the costs your "victims" pay at the checkout counter.....

You want to saddle the small business community with more and more "social justice" expenses that just translate into higher and higher consumer costs to your "victims"...

You support market manipulating labor unions and "living wages" that prove utterly self defeating...as such just increases the costs your "victims" pay for their wants and necessities...

you want "sustainable energy", and to do this, you use punitive and restrictive regulations, and fear based AGW hysteria to manipulate market equilibrium between cheap, but "evil" conventional energy and expensive "green" energy...all of which shows up in your "victims" higher food, utilities and transportation costs.

(When we all know what you really want is control....you want America's largely uncontrollable free enterprise, capitalist economic system destroyed, and replaced with authoritarian, centrally controlled, command economy fascism....or, straight up state ownership of means of production...and all this "means to an end" duplicity and hypocrisy is just the frog boiling steps to achieve it)

It's your own standard. Got a problem with it?

I don't have to respect people who quote Ann Coulter or anyone like that. It's a sign of total disrespect. Am I supposed to respect that kind of thing? (*)(*)(*)(*) no. Am I supposed to respect those who think it's funny to deny others healthcare? No, but I do believe that their own standards of respect should be shown to them. She adheres the Coulter, I wouldn't lift a finger to save her life...not without her paying whatever she thinks her life is worth for the assistance. If it's going to be dog-eat-dog capitalism, so be it. Pay up or die. Her insurance doesn't pay me for saving someone like her's life, where is my cut, especially if it's the most important cut? I should get more than the Doctor does in that situation from a Teagagger.

I simply give the respect given. It's the only way to get respect from a Right Winger.

No, Webrock, you are the one who wants Collectivism here. Quit denying it. You want endless cash payouts to these farmers as the send America into a Depression.

    No-go.

Either stick to the topic or leave.

This is a mod warning. Some of you are dangerously close to being banned from the thread and/or getting an infraction. Other posters are never the topic. I suggest that if there is one poster who sets you off, put that person on your ignore list. It will save YOU a lot of grief.
