Are you saying that everything that happens in the economy is because of Obama?

Someone please explain to me why, if 6 million jobs have been created, why hasn't the unemployment number gone way, WAY up more than it has? There were what... only 12-15 million people out of jobs at the worst point? And 6 mill is HALF to 40% of that.

Especially considering so many more people than usual have stopped looking for work (which makes the UE number even WORSE than it supposedly is).

Or has he created 6 mil and lost 5.8?

    - - - Updated - - -

Obama's attitude and actions (of which there are few) are discouraging employers from hiring. That is all that we need to know about Obama and the economy.

When he champions idiotic economy destroying policies, yes.

Didnt you just get done blaming everything on bush?

You've just said you won't even check the US Govt sources I cite because you just assume I'm lying because I'm a liberal. Now you/re claiming I'm not an "honest broker" and you don't care whether my sources are accurate or not.

You're just confirming my prior post.

As I said, you act as though that is something unusual amongst conservatives. It is not.

So because of your predisposed beliefs, you simply assume I'm a liar. Again, common for conservatives here.

No kidding. We see hordes of them every day. This thread is another example.

Maybe to you. I judge a man's integrity by whether he looks at things objectively and honestly and backs up his positions with reliable sources and data. Not based on my predisposed political beliefs.

But again, you're attitude is a dime a dozen here amongst conservatives. Most of them don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) what the truth is but whether what they hear fits with their predisposed ideology.

What is rare are those who will look at things objectively and with an open mind and consider facts and their sources instead of just ignoring them. There are a few of those here.

    1) It has gone way down. It was at 10%, now it's below 8%.
    2) Even though the private sector has created lots of jobs, that is partially offset by the fact that the Republican dominated state governments had shed over half a million jobs.
    3) More people have joined the workforce in the last 3 years.

No, 6 million is the net created number. The total additional jobs. You can see them at the link I cited. You know, the one you didn't bother to check because you just assumed I was lying because of your predisposed political views.

Employers are hiring. They've hired more workers (net) for 35 months in a row.

Because I think we should stop outsourcing jobs, or should force the public to buy high mileage cars or lower credit card rates to 3%...you mean THOSE political views?

You see, that is PART of the reason why you are not trusted. Right there you spun(or outright lied) on why I don't trust your posts. I told you flat out it is because you support those who I think are crooks.(plus of course, you seem to be not quite a straight-shooter yourself, as in this latest example) :)

That's not political. If you trusted any liar who's a Con, that would corrupt your trustworthy appearance to me also.

No, I'm referring to the ones upon which you assume I'm a liar simply because I'm a liberal and leads you to be so closed minded about it you wouldn't even bother considering the facts I state and source.

You've made it clear you think anyone who is in a particularly political category is a liar.

I wouldn't say it is political. I would say what I think it is, but it would be against the forum rules.

About Obama's State of the Union speech last night... I didn't bother. I listened to Mark Levin, then Michael Savage, followed by John Batchleor. Of course, there were a few sound bites later... but they were just the usual blustering, forked-tongue, rhetorical follow-up to the previous Obama manifesto.

    That's right Obama's manifesto — I, Obama.

    Um Yeah... Hello....

PS Obama is clearly attempting to outsource more jobs. He called for a minimum wage of 9 dollars an hour, right after he got done telling us that people in third world countries make a dollar a day, all the while flapping his gums about a global market place.

He knows raising peoples wages in America will force their jobs overseas.

Three words, part time workers, partly due to the Obamanomics circling the bowl economy and partly because of Obama Care.

In other words, not moving the goal posts but blowing them up.

Why would we start counting how many jobs were added (under his administration of course), but START the count after the economy stabilized?

That doesn't seem very logical or reasonable.

I would be a very wealthy person if I evaluated my wealth without considering my liabilities, but that isn't very honest.

Because it shows the progress we've made since the damage of the Great Recession ended.

It is perfectly logical. Why would you count the losses from the Great Recession if you are looking at the progress made in the recovery, and why would you count the losses from the Great Recession against Obama unless you are asserting that the Great Recession was somehow his fault?

If I wanted to see my gains since the bottom of the recession, I wouldn't count the losses during the recession.

You didn't 'prove' anything other than one can manipulate the numbers to make them say whatever you desire. The Fact remains...if one uses the numbers at the beginning of his reign and compare them to the numbers that apply today, his claims are crap.

That is not fact at all. Obama did not state that 6 million jobs were created since he took office but since the recession ended.

Why is it "crap" unless you include the effect of the Great Recession he inherited?

It is not that they 'lie'...it is that they use so very many numbers that are so spun as to make them invalid..."If 'A' is true Monday and 'B' is true during a full moon then 'C' must be true because it was found in the Times'...DemCount, the use of imaginary numbers to make a political point!

He was elected to fix that mess, not make it worse...and he was every bit as responsible for that mess as was any other member of Congress (unless we give him credit for NOT voting much during his brief term in the Senate)

I tell ya what pisses in my cereal... He wants to raise the minimum wage to 9 bucks an hour... That just takes two bucks an hour out of my pocket cause I sure as heck am not going to get a two dollar an hour raise. I have no problem paying people to work, but to pay someone that is doing basic labor a similar salary as someone with a bachelors degree is just wrong.. I worked my butt off to finish college so I could get a good paying job that didn't pay min. wage.
Also I flipped out when he said he didn't raise taxes on anyone except the top 1% of Americans... Someone please tell me why I'm missing an extra 2500 bucks a year from my check then...
I say the majority of it is total bull crap and if you beleive it you deserve what your leading this country into.

You're missing $2500 from your paycheck? That isn't from any tax Obama raised. You might want to check to see if your identity's been stolen or something.

Going by that poster you'd think that was all Obama said that was BS.
Seems to ignore the rest of the BS pointed out in the article.
    Waiting for spin guidance perhaps.
