Nation’s only black Senator not invited to speak at March on Washington

Maybe that's because the white Repubs never let him forget his black half.

 

GOP won't even nominate an African-American for President for...I'm betting...10-15 years, minimum.

 

I'd say that most (but not all) people who are mixed race identify more with the non-white side. Deal with it.

and had he said he was going to attend they may have asked in to speak, no reason to ask someone to speak if they have already declined the invitation to be at the event

To be fair....sharpton was trying to play the game the other way, lumping those invited to speak with those who were only invited, to make it appear they were also invited to speak.

At least one speaker said she was not asked in advance to speak but was called upon to do so....since she actually showed up...

 

Bill O'Reilly apologized Thursday night for his erroneous comments about the 50th anniversary celebrations of the March on Washington the previous day.

O'Reilly had complained that no Republicans had been invited to the event. In fact, many, including both living Republican presidents, John McCain, Jeb Bush and John Boehner had been asked to attend. All declined for various reasons.

O'Reilly admitted that he had been wrong.

"The mistake? Entirely on me," he said. "I simply assumed ... Republicans were excluded."

He advised viewers to "always check out the facts when you make a definitive statement, and added that he was "sorry I made that mistake."

I don't agree with Bill O'Reilly however I do respect him even more when he admits a mistake, I don't expect you to admit your error, LOL so is it that you don't like the truth or you don't like that I was right?
