I'm not accusing anyone of racism here. But more and more these days we are hearing about tremendous suffering by white conservatives because of "reverse racism". Here's your chance to get it off your chests. Don't hold back. We can take it! :clapping:

    I am curious myself.

As a white man myself, I am still waiting for that moment where I am oppressed for being white. It hasn't happened yet.

I applied to the law schools at UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis and UC San Francisco. I was rejected by all these schools.

Later, I learned that UC Davis has a 40% set-aside for minorities.

I might have been admitted to one of these schools were it not for the very high percentage of positions set aside for minorities with lower grades and LSAT scores.

    MOD EDIT>>>FLAME BAIT<<<

Since its illegal for those institutions to do that, one can only conclude that you're either lying (probable), those minority students were better than you (probable) and/or that you were lied to about the admission standards, or you're lying to us now. As it is, if you're denied admission to a school or program there is rarely ever an explanation, and I doubt somebody would tell you they had to sat aside room for minorities in the first place.

    That is simply untrue.

Ever since that 1978 Supreme Court case, minority setasides have been illegal.

You should at least tell a lie that isn't easily disproven.

Due to my age I haven't really come into contact with it yet but there's some things I know that are going on discriminating against other white men.

There's affirmative action for women. That is, a percentage is reserved for women, or they prioritse them or something like that. That's sexist discrimination.

There's these special jobs offered by the government directed at immigrants to help them into the economy. The government pays half or more of their wages to the employer making them a much cheaper alternative than any native. That's racist discrimination.

In my old school there were two muslim girls that were allowed to have their head gear when we ate but no one else was allowed head gear. That's religious discrimination.

In my current school we elect two representatives of our class to go to small meetings, and it has to be a male and a female. That's sexist discrimination, although very minor.

    See how I suffer?!

The easiest way to tell a man has low character is the way he so easily smears the good character of other, more honest men.

I am putting iAwesome and raytri on ignore. I have absolutely no respect for either of these men, and I have no interest in seeing their disgraceful antics on this board.

For the rest of you, it is true that California outlawed affirmative action for its schools, but I applied in 1991, before that law was passed.

Anyone else who calls me a liar will also be put on ignore.

My god, how will we sleep?

And I'm pretty sure the law was passed 13 years before you applied.

The law was passed in 1978.

And even if it were true -- how is something that happened in 1991 relevant today?

Sure, Pearl, happy to help... not that anybody gives a ****. So, after working full-time and putting myself through the University of Texas MYSELF, and graduating with honors, I emerged on the job scene in the career field I had prepared myself to get into. It was one that had connections within the Federal Government, and that was the problem! In the late 1970's, Reverse Discrimination (a.k.a, "affirmative action") MANDATED that the workforce MUST have a certain percentage of minorities before any more Whites could be hired in that career field. Period.

I worked around this by uprooting myself and moving 800 miles away, to a part of the country where, even though I was White, I could qualify to get a job in this field. After that, I made my own success -- but I never forgot the way I was treated by a dirty bunch of hyperliberal sons of *****es who were perfectly willing to keep me from getting a job in the place I had wanted to live, purely because I was White.

The irony? I had been a liberal myself! I had marched in the streets for civil rights. I had marched against police brutality to minority people taken into custody for minor offenses. I worked my way through college. I was a responsible taxpayer. Hey -- the "model citizen". And what did I get? The Federal Government's ASS in my FACE.... Oh, and Reverse Discrimination? It exists to this very day, as the "law of the land", even though it is as wrong as it can possibly be....

    I am not a conservative...but...

I feel the color difference every time I cross the border and the guard is black. I always seem to get a lot more questions and "attitude" from these people, especially if their black women.

It REALLY pisses me off. I marched in the streets arm in arm with black and brown sisters and brothers and got my "white, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)-lover ass" arrested for it, a point I made to a belligerent (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) the last time I crossed...that was pure and simple racism and she was called on it by the people behind me, one of whom was my traveling buddy, a man of Indian heritage and darker than her.

I'm not an American anymore, I have renounced my citizenship. Now I can legally present myself to customs and immigration as only a Canadian and hope things might be different should I absolutely have to cross ever again......

Kind of wondering why you waited this long?

Well, the OP has been proven wrong by at least three people who have stories about being white victims of "reverse racism."

Will the OP now admit he was wrong, and dedicate his life to eliminating ALL forms of racism, which is what Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King would have wanted?

Well I have you ALL beat. I have not one but TWO stories of reverse discrimination.

The first time was in 1990. I was working as an executive recruiter for data processing personnel. I was focused on a rare type of bird. And I had gathered "intel" on EVERY person who could do that kind of work from the West coast to Kansas. I had a good candidate. White. And I was trying to find him a job. I came across a hiring authority who had an open position. But he would not consider hiring a white person at all. No matter how good that person was. He insisted on a black candidate. Even AFTER I assured him that I was THE expert on that topic and had not found ONE black person from Cali to Kansas who had the training. Its possible that he knew that and was just "funning" me. But I had the sense that he was for real. My solution was to work a little harder and find that GREAT candidate another job.

The second time was about 10 years ago when I was doing some market research for the gov't in a Oregon. I was talking with students who were graduating high school and going to college. After talking with quite a few I noticed that the grade point averages of the blacks and Hispanics who were getting scholarships were DRAMATICALLY lower than whites and Asians needed to get those same scholarships. So, yes, I know it does happen.

Now here's how I feel about it.

Two personal incidents over the last 20 years is a tiny price to pay to live in a country that gained so much prosperity first by killing the red man for his land and then by enslaving blacks to create wealth in the South. Not to mention the Chinese who broke their backs putting in the railroads for very little in return.

Would any of those complaining wish to trade places with any of those people? If not get a tissue, wipe your eyes, and stop whining! Life isn't fair. But all in all you've been VERY lucky.

I have a big nose and I am sure I have lost many opportunities because of my nose. Its not fair that someone with a smaller nose would get all the opportunities while me with my big nose am always at the back of the bus.

Ever thought just maybe you didn't meet the standard?

Think about this,, you are now an unemployed lawyer.

Meaning 60% was set aside for non minorities. Now,, obviously you didn't make the grade.

The reason you are hearing so much now...is because due to technology people have voice past the mainstream news. That hasn't always been the case.

Reverse racisim has been going on for years...and in my opinion is getting better in some areas and worse in other. My experience of reverse racism hurt my children. We couldn't choose to move them to highly rated schools and were forced to go to poorly rated schools---because they were white. They could only choose a school that was 60% black or over---because we were in an area that was majority black and we were white. A black family in the same area had the right to send their child to any school with no restrictions.

This happened almost 20 years ago. It was stopped because people were finally heard, and when parents were making their outrage known...believe me there were people like you--just rolling their eyes. They don't give a damn about my kids. They just see white skin.

    I hope that isn't you.

I don't know if you advocate that whites have it harder. I don't know. Personally I feel for any family, of any color who is restricted from opportunities due to the color of their skin. But that's because I'm a conservative.

No that's the liberal part of you. Very few of us are all one or the other. I've even held a few conservative views from time to time. But after I learned more I grew out of them.

I got into a number of fights growing up for being the only white boy in the park. The tennis courts happened to be in the poor area. I know for a fact I've worked with people who got their jobs due to AA and that's made my life far more difficult than it needed to be:)

I got into a number of fights because my parents moved a couple of times and I was the new kid in school. Being the odd one out and getting my butt whopped a few times taught me to be more compassionate. I guess it doesn't have that effect on everyone.

My brother in law fired a fat lazy Mexican and she complained about racism and the company fired him even though it was easily proven that she was a bad worker. They didn't want to be called racist and deal with a lawsuit and it was cheaper for them just to fire my brother in law even though he was a strong manager.

A friend of mine was fired for the same reason. As for me, it was hard to get into the school I wanted because of the diversity. Its majority non-white and competent white people are discriminated against.

We listen to minorities complain abut white oppression and racism virtually every day in the media. In the schools were taught that the white race is evil and oppressed blacks, native americans, Jews, etc. This is suffering enough.

We also can not have our own country and have to suffer diversity and multiculturalism because of the paranoid Jews who are scared death of us.
