So sheriff douchbag puts US decals all over the prison so that he can force prisoners who deface them to survive off bread and water. Of course the "small government" right wing supports this kind of bull(*)(*)(*)(*). I'll be sure to think of Sheriff dip(*)(*)(*)(*) next time I burn a flag, one of those freedoms that as a veteran I vowed to protect. Clearly this man has no dick, otherwise he wouldn't sit around devising new ways to punish and dehumanize the people in his charge. How he has not been removed or arrested is beyond me. He is an embarrassment to the nation.

 

Go into a government building, deface their flag ... See what happens . Sure you have the right to buy and deface your own flag , but you can't do it to mine or anyone else's . The prisoners are defacing others property , a crime by its self . Really surprised that had to be explained .

 

Why would I do that? BTW if a crime is being committed, as you suggest, then clearly the court needs to be involved. We have procedures for this, none of them include punishment through diet.

 

I was in Ft Huachuca, in Dec 1999. At night it went down to 25F, it was very cold, I was in Bisby, AZ.

With all due respect DUTCH...First, Sheriff Joe Arpaio does NOT have control of ANY AZ. "prisons", nor does he have control of ANY "occupants" currently housed in AZ. prisons. Second, Illegal aliens are not subjected to nor effected by the Sheriffs latest ignorance. Third, Illegal immigrants are housed in the facilities operated by the Private Prison's of America Corporation. I would invite you to do some research and educate yourself prior to posting unnecessary sarcasm. Familiarize yourself with the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, separation of power and branches of government, criminal justice system and processes, and the Maricopa County Jail(s) statistical data. I would hope that any real American, especially a "patriotic" American would consider the violation of rights, cruel and unusual punishment, moreover; the abuse of fellow american citizens accused of, BUT NOT convicted of any crime atrocious. Last time I checked, those people awaiting adjudication are innocent until proven guilty. The majority of those currently housed in the county jails are those cases. Please feel free to explain where you have gathered the information for your clearly unbiased opinion on this topic.

I see so you are just fine with the sheriff creating and enforcing his own laws on non-convicted prisoners (also known as innocent people) which have been put in his charge. Good to know the rule of law means nothing to you.

They didn't commit a crime they broke a rule. Same as in school if you break a rule you are punished no court is involved. Surprised that had to be explained....

 

Be sure to let the poster I was quoting know. I understand the need for rules and punishment in a prison, however there is a difference between what is and is not reasonable. There is also just plain old vindictive bull(*)(*)(*)(*), which is exactly what this is. There is no reason for flag decals to be present. Sheriff dips hit is just doing this so he can punish those in his charge. He has a history of this and we all know it. He should be removed at the very Ieast.

 

Yes , start your anti sticker protest and see if it gains traction. No legal authority agrees with your line of thinking , so your anti sticker movement will need to be grass roots .

You don't seem to understand the core concept here. One, there is no need for these decals; they exist to be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed with. It is what the sheriff expects and gives him a reason to do item 2 which is punish the people in his charge with an over the top punishment for violating a rule that about a sticker that doesn't need to exist in the first place. It is a pointless pissing match created by small dick to further abuse the people in his charge. Beyond the fact that this is clearly in place to give him one more thing to punish people for, how can you agree with the punishment? Bread and water was found inhumane a while ago, and the people in this system are not even convicted of their crimes, they are just suspects.

If you were arrested and imprisoned for, say, mistaken identity, would you want to be forced to march around wearing pink, eating vegetarian meals, and sleeping outside in a tent city while awaiting trial or would you rather be treated with respect?

 

I would do whatever it took not to be punished. Because I am not stupid. respect comes from respect you really think the prisoners are showing respect by tearing down the American flag stickers.
