After buying into all of the "Hope" and "Change" BS, it looks like one of Obama's major constituencies is getting a serious case of buyer's remorse. Evidently, many 18-29 years olds are finally waking up and smelling the neo-socialist pavement: As with many other suckers, FullRetardCare was all (*)(*)(*)(*)s and giggles until it came time to surrender their freedom and their cash. Surprise! Now, these kids are getting exactly what they voted for and what they deserve. They were warned. They were warned that the individual mandate was an assault on their freedom of choice, not only in regards to their health care, but to their right to determine their own priorities in life for themselves. They were warned that they would be screwed to finance Obama & Co.'s neo-socialist redistribution scheme. The Pathological Liar in Chief has got quite a challenge before him. Not only is he going to have to convince these reluctant youngsters to swallow hook on FullRetardCare, he's going to have to convince them to get out to the polls in 2014 and vote for the Democratic liars who stuck them with it. This is going to be interesting to watch... .
Unfortunately, it's too late The Damage he set out to do has been done and is not done yet He has three more years to take us down more
It's only 57% right now... wait until the ones that have jobs are dumped from their plans too. It only gets worse from here for the Democratic Party.
The most startling finding of Harvard University's Institute of Politics: A majority of Americans under age 25--the youngest millennials--would favor throwing Obama out of office. As we all know, Obama's official father was thrown out of Harvard years ago. Now, it seems, Harvard also want to throw young Obama out, too. Better late, then never, I guess. Love it, love it, love it. Told you so, told you so, told you so...
Millennial here. I don't know any other folks my age who ever like Obama. So, these stereotypes you guys create about the young being servants of Obama are all BS. But, whatever. Free speech.
---Millennial here, too. I live with two other millennials. None of us care for the guy and did not vote for him. Bonus because two of us are the same bastard mix that he is.
OP here. I know I never claimed all Millennials voted for Obama, much less were his "servants". However, feel free to dispute the numbers:
"57% of Millennials Now Disapprove of Obamacare" Taxcutter says: As well they might. They are the ones that are gonna get hammered the worst. Memo to millennials: Next November remember that NOT ONE Republican voted for that law. All Democrats and using the "nuclear option" to bypass a filibuster.
Just wait till April 15th when their tax refund is reduced by 1% of their total income OR they owe the extra money. Some youngin making $25,000 struggling to pay his/her bills will get zapped for $250. That's going to be fun!
I would think so. It's like I said before, next year's mid-term elections appear to be setting up the same way they did in 2010...
He thought they loved him so! After they were a large part of why he got elected...and then re-elected. IN FACT, putting off the enrollment until AFTER the election was exactly WHY he was able to get re-elected; that's WHY he put it off. He wouldn't be president today IF he hadn't purposefully hidden the FACTS from his followers. But WILL they save his Signature Legislation now....by forking out the money to buy into Obamacare? ONLY 22% plan to sign up for Obamacare....and only 29% of people who don't currently have health insurance plan to enroll. Perhaps the younsters have learned a good, hard lesson; that just because someone can croon a song for you like a rock star and snow you with his charm....doesn't mean he's a leader and also doesn't mean he won't LIE to you about what he's going to do. The Harvard "Millennials" poll found only 22 percent of young Americans -- defined in the survey as between 18 and 29 years old -- plan to sign up for ObamaCare. Even more troubling for the administration, fewer than a third -- only 29 percent -- of people who currently do not have health insurance plan to enroll. "Actuarially, the [Affordable Care Act] depends upon these young Americans signing up," Trey Greyson, director of Harvard's Institute Of Politics, said. "Our survey shows that the administration has a lot of work to do to get them on board." Indeed, the Affordable Care Act relies on a large pool of young, healthy enrollees to pay for older, sicker Americans. Without their premium support, the entire system is at risk of collapse. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...-poll-shows-young-people-skeptical-obamacare/
So who is actually signing up?The folks who benefit more than they will have to pay that's who. It's common sense. So how will this debacle actually work? Just like other entitlement programs: The government will continue to destroy our currency and run up the national debt. Silly liberals have lofty pipe dreams but aren't very good at turning them into reality.
That makes sense, you're right. Also consider that there are more minorities in our demographic than white males, if that makes any difference (probably does).
