I am an American, born and bred.
You not knowing who he is just marginalized you in a major way, or proves you are about 12 years old.

so what does McVeigh have to do with Muslims?
If you want to discuss McVeigh, then you should start another thread.
But my original question goes back to this:
Note I said upcoming events...and of course you are reduced to a vague point in history, like that has anything to do with discussing Muslim extremists. You want to know more about how the Muslim extremist are doing, (and they appear to be doing well) go talk to someone in the UK.

The real question is why hypocrisy and religion appear so closely tied?

I wasn't discussing future events, so your response to me was idiocy. You brought that up, not me.
The point was directed at another poster that was trying to suggest that other groups posed no threat.
    That is categorically untrue.
    Have you caught up now?

I don't recall the last time people were burnt at the stake in the US by Christian extremists.

But regardless, I'm glad we both agree that the rhetorical point for why not all Muslims carry out terror attacks is a red herring.

    Uh-huh.

Muslim actually don't have a caliphate yet, so gaining political power is still not the same as establishing a kalipha as the latter is theologically needed to actually wage offensive holy war.

'Nazis' have also gained power in Greece and Hungary in the last two years, but not even a majority are carrying out terror attacks.

    your whole post #8:
What proof do you have that a particular event will transpire in the future caused by the so called American Militia? My statement cornered on that IF you know something, you should tell the FBI. Got it? And just who is the American Militia?

    Defensive obtuse response.
We know American militia will because they have.
Google "American Militia" and spend the next two weeks reading about nothing else.

what has the American Militia done? To my knowledge, they've never acted enmass to over-throw anyone or deprive anyone of their Rights.
And where is the American Militia located? How do you sleep at night with all this going on around you?

    Start reading, my ignorant friend.
Terrorists never act "enmass"(sic). It's the nature of terrorism not to.

but what is the American Militia? What is it comprised of? You blame everyone for the acts of a few. Period. Unfortunately, I suspect you are lumping anyone who uses the words Freedom, Liberty, and Constitution into the definition of a terrorist.

. As long as Islam is a minority religion in the midst of a strong tolerant people...it's ok. But there is something inherently disfunctional with Islam where as a majority religion it becomes authoritarian. And an Islamic pocket will become aggressive within a weak society that lacks clear beliefs and principles.

Start with this, then do your own research.
This whole thread is about blaming everyone for the acts of a few, isn't it?
You made the case of terrorists acting "enmass"(sic) which they don't do. That wasn't my argument. It was yours. I'm not lumping anyone together. There are militia groups, they have many hate groups within them and some have done violence in our country, including the largest terror attack in our country before 9/11.

Well then let me give you some more recent examples:

On Aug. 5, 2012, white supremacist Wade Michael Page used a semiautomatic weapon to murder six people during an attack on a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

Only four days after 9/11, Balbir Singh Sodhi, a Sikh immigrant from India who owned a gas station in Mesa, Arizona, was murdered by Frank Silva Roque, a racist who obviously mistook him for a Muslim.

On July 27, 2008, Christian Right sympathizer Jim David Adkisson walked into the Knoxville Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee during a children’s play and began shooting people at random.

Army of God, a loose network of radical Christianists with a long history of terrorist attacks on abortion providers. One Christian Right terrorist with ties to the Army of God was Paul Jennings Hill, who was executed by lethal injection on Sept. 3, 2003

Eric Rudolph, who is serving life without parole for a long list of terrorist attacks committed in the name of Christianity. Rudolph is best known for carrying out the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta during the 1996 Summer Olympics—a blast that killed spectator Alice Hawthorne and wounded 111 others.

In 1994, the radical anti-abortionist and Army of God member attacked a Planned Parenthood clinic in Brookline, Massachusetts, shooting and killing receptionists Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols and wounding several others.

Suicide attack on IRS building in Austin, Texas, Feb. 18, 2010. When Joseph Stack flew a plane into the Echelon office complex

terrorist killing of liberal Denver-based talk show host Alan Berg, a critic of white supremacists who was killed with an automatic weapon on June 18, 1984. The killing was linked to members of the Order, a white supremacist group that had marked Berg for death. Order members David Lane (a former Ku Klux Klan member who had also been active in the Aryan Nations) and Bruce Pierce were both convicted in federal court

Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing, April 19, 1995.

You see how intellectually disconnected this poster is from the realities of extremist violence that would include a group he might belong to? He couldn't identify McVeigh!
You left out George Tiller's murder.

Recent examples of people not being burnt at the stake by primarily non-fundamentalists?

Can you keep up in a discussion?

oh, so there is no real singular group. (I already knew that) You are lumping different groups into one. Get over the McVeigh thing, first off. He acted on his own, if he did it at all. That case has already been reviewed by God.
If you keep up with the news, you would know that in Mexico, the citizens took matters into their own hands over the drug trafficking BECAUSE the government wouldn't do anything about the mass killings happening along our borders. AFTER they had done the police's job, the government stepped into take their guns away. The villagers turned the cops away and stated if the cops worked with them, they would allow them back in, but they were not going to surrender them because they needed them for protection. Most of them had military training due to serving in their military. Citizen's militia.
They acted in self-defense. Period. and they've kept their firearms........
These guys [militia] are not responsible for the mess this country is in, but go ahead and blame someone who is not responsible. Shift the blame is a common disease among the Liberals. These guys present no danger to anyone. They are there just in case things get bad. There are a lot of people who are pretty upset with this government AND are outside of any militia. Anyone who views this government as benevolent is a fool driving his life with wishful thinking. This government doesn't have your back, just your wallet.

I was about to call foul on the diversion myself. No group does the personal killing and revels in it so disgustingly as Muslim fanatics. The world should be outraged. Never could I have imagined the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yLzrSNAGQQ

Not even necessary. Visit any of these sites: barenakedislam, gatesofvienna, memri TV, http://www.halalporkshop.blogspot.co.uk. Each can give another 1000 links to newspaper stories, etc. Each has credible stories you can trace to their primary source. Each will unsettle you.

I would expect a correlation between the rise of neo-Nazis and the encroachment of Islam.

The point being made, and I think quite clearly, is that it is not Islam itself that is dangerous, but extremism in all its forms. Be it Muslim or Christian, rabid nationalists or white supremacists. When very poor education collides with dexterous manipulators of the susceptible mind you have a very dangerous situation.

Your article also said religion was not a factor.
