Who said I worship anybody? I'm not the one trying to change the law (i.e. legislate it). I don't. No. Gorn is the one who brought the Jews, and therefore the bible, into the argument. You'll have to ask him why he obsesses so much on that. He also started yet another thread on gay (*)(*)(*)(*), because that's another thing he obsesses on. Nothing to do with "my side", that's your side. Of course not. Because you can't. Freedom of religion. Anything done in private cannot be banned. Blah, blah...Are you afraid you'll like heterosexuality? Hmmmm? Is your life that small? Hmmmmm? Get the (*)(*)(*)(*) out with that stupid (*)(*)(*)(*). Or maybe people will come to their senses and realize that they want to do right by their children, as their parents and grandparents did right by them. Don't fool yourself. 19 to 31 is still a minority, and the states that don't have it, don't want it.
In general, the haters cannot fool all of the people in perpetuity. Gay people are not evil or the devil... etc. They are human beings just like everyone else. Less and less, the need to say the above exists; that is a good thing.
No, actually it's a way to show you are dishonest. You don't care about "chosen" or "genetic"....you just hate gays. - - - Updated - - - Not even if they were a Guy Fawkes mask imagining they are some "revolutionary" from a graphic novel.
fifth is just ascribing to the Republican election game plan, which amounts to "Why should we change? THEY'RE the ones who suck." (If anyone gets the Office Space reference you are given a permanent brofist.) Right after the election, there were pundits all over the news saying that the loss of the election in 2012 wasn't a sign of a growing trend in a divide between the Republican party's social stances and the general populaces', but rather something that would change once people got older. The difference between generations, I think, is that we are able to be open about ourselves, about our relationships, and not having to live our lives in the shadows. The general populace i exposed to gay people more frequently, and when they are exposed to them, they find out that they are people, just like everyone else. When they find that out, they understand that there's no reason that we shouldn't be treated the same. As far as my marriage opinions, in an ideal world, I would eliminate government involvement in personal relationships all-together. There's no reason for it, it's arbitrary, and gives a preferred status to certain relationships over others. What people do in their own homes shouldn't really grant tax breaks.
I don't hate any group. I just don't believe marriage is a right. If it were, anyone could demand one at any time, regardless of anyone else's willingness to marry them. After all, a "right" cannot be justly denied, by refusal to marry. You are actually pushing for "gay privileges", but that doesn't make as nifty a sound bite. Anyone ever tell you about glass houses? A guy in a leftover Godzilla suit whose sole claim to fame is getting his ass kicked in the worst fight scene ever really has no room to talk.
That is sort of the anti-gay anthem. "Treating gays the same way as heterosexuals is demanding 'gay privileges' Which I always find amusing- "How dare gays demand to be treated just like my wife and I!"
Yes, it is. If it were a right, people wouldn't have to propose and be accepted. See, the thing about a privilege, as opposed to a right, is that just anybody is not automatically entitled to it. Oh no, I want to treat you JUST like everyone else. A gay man can marry a woman, same as anybody else. It's nobody else's fault if he doesn't want to do that. He decides if it is right for him.
I love the rationalizations of those who believe in discrimination. Which I always find amusing- "How dare gays demand to be treated just like my wife and I!"
Love THAT argument too. Same as if we had a law you could ONLY buy a Ford....and GM fans were told "Hey, you can be a GM fan...but you only have the RIGHT to buy a Ford same as everybody else. See? Equal rights!"
Also sort of cuts into that phony "I'm a freedom fighter just like 'V' in 'V for Vendetta".....in the film homosexuals are "black-bagged" if they reveal themselves under the fascist-theocracy of Britain. Yet in that dystopia, fifth would be a SUPPORTER of Chancellor Sutler.
