Play a titan they're tough as nails and take a lot of Killin. You can have that and a med to long range weapon and clean up. No twitch reflexes necessary especially with the drop in and out Co op. If you're a 360 guy and you end up wanting to play it I'll team with you when it comes out.
I'm in my first year of law school starting on the 18th but I gotta have 1 evening a week where I can decompress or I'll go loony.

Yeah it's the best game I've seen since mass effect 1 and borderlands.

I loved Mass Effect. Of course I would have loved it more had EA stayed out of it but what are you gonna do?

Will be playing Destiny on the PS3. Otherwise I'd invite you to play along.

1 was perfect. 2 was not gameplaywise but I did love the dirty dozen story.
3 was great until the end which was god awful tripe. They pushed o your choices matter the whole trilogy etc then you pick at the end. Funk in EA.

It's too bad they don't allow cross platform

3 felt like none of your decisions mattered at all. That was a disappointment. And the ending was full of suck from the last battle to everything afterwards.

That would be sweet but most companies aren't worrying about current gen consoles anymore.

That's what makes me wish for cross platform on the current gen. They're not really competing in the market anymore, just there. Why not allow them to link to each other? The 1 and the 4 can compete in the marketplace and the 360 and 3 can finish off their contracts with much increased play. Seems like everyone would make out on that deal.

As a veteran of the original, yeah - they did about as good of a job as was possible.

I could never finish Bioshock Infinite. By far my favorite part of it was setting and immersion - it was so great to just exist in that time period. The 1900-1918 period of world history is surely my favorite, and practically no games are set in it. So refreshing.

Recently I've been playing Valiant Hearts: The Great War. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a serious treatment of WWI.

We need more WWI games :'(

Much of it has to do with the users of current gen systems needing to have a reason to have spent the money on buying an Xbone or a PS4. It gets harder to justify to your customers to buy your new system when you keep making the same game for the old system they already have. And with the cross gen titles the graphics on the new systems compared to the old aren't good enough to justify buying a whole new system.

If you go on a video game forum one of the main complaints are the lack of decent graphics out of the new systems because of all the cross gen titles that have come out. It's not as easy as just making a game specifically for PS4 then dumbing down the graphics for the PS3 version. Whenever they do that they are limited to what they can do graphics wise in order to be able to dumb it down enough for the old system therefore it doesn't utilize the full power of the PS4. That's why games specifically designed for PS4 or Xbone almost always look better than the cross gen games.

Actually destiny (the game in question) has noticable differences next gen to current gen. And the graphics will improve as devs learn the tricks of each system, just like 3 and 360 games did.
The current gens are seeing what is probably their last year of development. In that respect, and given the close performance between 3 and 360, it would make some sense to cross them (and only them) to get a little more life out of them and increase revenues for them (that are between buying a new system etc and just buying a new game).

I can see not being able to play cross gen but cross platform is different. The capability is there but I think mainly what it is neither Sony or Microsoft want that to happen. They understandably want the players on their console and not someone else's.

I played the original back in the day and the beauty of it went right over my head. I was to young to appreciate and understand what was going on.

Infinite is a wonderful game with characters that feel real and a living story instead of a static one.

I was meh on Bioshock Infinite. I preferred the originals with the undersea environment. Infinite became to repitive after awhile. Skyhook, drop down kill some baddies, skyhook, drop down, kill some baddies rinse and repeat. For alternate reality/old timey games Dishonored was by far my favorite. I think that they completely botched the message as well. They were attempting to show the negative side of a racist group and how they treated blacks and the Irish. THe problem is that not only was the negative side show but apparently the racists were substantially smarter because they had flying citie for crying out loud. If you want to paint a negative portrait of racists don't give them the ability to build flying cities that no one else can build.

Back to playing New Vegas ..........again. Waiting for Requiem to be updated for Skyrim which will hopefully be soon.

I enjoyed Dishonoured like the original poster since it depicted a Victorian society where the industrial revolution coincided with society becoming more authoritarian and repressive rather than with advancement of individual liberties and liberalism. Last game I played was grand theft auto 5 which is just a long litany for self apology of thug gangstarism and I don't understand why it did not get sued given its unending racial subcontext such as the three white guys raping a woman with one standing above her with his penis exposed in one of the side missions at least before version 1.16 for ps3. This game makes a good point though that the federal authorities and organized crime closely cooperate with each other. Personally I prefer Payday when living out my crime going fantasies.

I've been playing a game called Bully made by Rockstar. It's an older game but it's pretty much GTA in a prep academy for teens. No guns or anything of course but all of the other fun GTA style gameplay is there. It's probably one of Rockstars most hidden gems.

I just absolutely love being able to do in a video game all of the stuff I wanted to do in high school but couldn't lol. It's fun to throw stink bombs at the teachers and pull the fire alarm and skip class, and sneak in the girls locker room etc. The game is hilarious, fans of GTA should give it a go. Lets you indulge in all of your sick childhood fantasies about running amok in school lol.

Yeah right. Perhaps the old GTAs were just for plain fun. The latest release made record profits ($800 million on the first day of release) off blunt prejudices and went out of the way to glorify crime and justify its ways, cuz society at large consists of nothing but freaks and suckers. There were already kids shooting off pallet guns at female joggers at the Central Park. If Rockstar or its distributors don't get sued, then anything should go in the world of entertainment in terms of stereotyping, since profits equal tax revenues. With Payday 2 at least, it depicts heists and other felonies, but doesn't glorify them, and only delivers a message the ex army folk can use their skills to wreck havoc against civilian economy if the government turns on them. In a way, it only presents consequences.

Its a video game. It's a video game rated M for mature and everybody knows what type of games Rockstar makes, especially the GTA franchise. If parents allow their children to play such games then they are doing something wrong as a parent. Which unfortunately is the case with so many parents nowadays. People need to learn how to differentiate between fantasy and real life. I goto the Army base in GTA V and steal stuff and shoot the soldiers all the time. I don't get offended by it and I am a soldier in real life. I don't get offended because I know its a video game. While playing Battlefield 4 online I get put as the Russians or the Chinese half the time and have to run around shooting the American troops. Again I don't get offended because its a video game.

Plus the blunt prejudices in GTA V weren't even really exaggerated that much in some instances. At least not with Franklin and his gang. If you grew up in that environment you would know that that actually is how most of them act. His half black half native american buddy talks and acts almost exactly like about 5 friends I had growing up. But the point of GTA IS to be over the top like that. The game isn't supposed to be serious its a running joke in the game itself about how everybody is a male chauvinist bigot. Their beer is called P*ssWater in German because Europeans say American beer is watered down and nasty. The random gun and ammo shops all over the place are a shot at America for having ridiculously lax gun laws compared to the rest of the world and Europeans joking about how we have a gun store on every corner. Thats the POINT of the game.

Although I fully understand that video games influence children and parents nowadays are mostly worthless and don't know how to tell their kids no, I still won't advocate we censor our media in that manner. I don't want a world to where everything we do has to be rated PG because parents aren't able or willing to tell their kids they can't play M rated games or see R rated movies. Go play Call of Duty online and you'll see that more than half the people playing it are kids. Who bought the game for them? Their parents. Thats THEIR fault, blame them and hold them responsible for the consequences of their failed parenting.

On a side note Rockstar likely has one of the best personal lawfirms in the world which is why they haven't been sued into bankruptcy years ago.

It was the opposite for me. I didn't care to much for the first Bioshock. I played and beat but it didn't really leave an impression on me. I skipped the second because of all the negative reviews I've seen on it. But Infinite? I love Infinite. I can't think of a legitimate complaint against it myself.

Dishonored was another great one. I enjoy the whole steampunk vibe that Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite gave off. I went through my entire first play through stealthy and without killing anyone. It just didn't feel right to do it any other way.

I just read a thing the other day where in the sequel you'll be playing as Emily. I wouldn't put to much stock into that rumor just yet but it's an interesting concept at least.

I never played Bully. I could never quite bring myself to do that. I guess mainly because I have a difficult time figuring out how they can do an entire game on a school campus and make it fun.

The recurve is my favorite weapon. I just seen in a trailer for 4 that it's going to be back which makes me very very happy.

Playing Darksiders 2 right now. Never did get to beat the first 1 but I got pretty close and I know this one takes before and during the events of the first one. Still at the beginning right now. I do have to say though that I miss War. You would think that someone would have at least made a War dlc for it. That would have rocked.

Its not all on a school campus there is a town next to the school that you can go to as well. The game is literally just GTA San Andreas in a school setting. The "gangs" are school "factions" (Nerds, Jocks, Bullies, Preps, Greasers) and the "cops" are the school security and the teachers and faculty. There are actual cops in the city as well.

Your guns are replaced with slingshots, firecrackers, stinkbombs, potato cannons, etc. Your transportation is a skateboard or a bike.

One of the most clever things about the game is the concept of time. There is clock that ticks and it tells you when you are supposed to be doing something. You are in school so you are supposed to actually go to class. So if you are out running around when class is not in session then the authority leaves you alone. If you are supposed to be in class they will chase you around and try to drag you to class. The classes are annoying mini games that suck to simulate hating class so you actually will find yourself trying to avoid having to go. If you are in the school after hours then you are "trespassing" and the authority will try to grab you and drag you back to your dorm room. Same as if you are outside of your dorm room after curfew. And since you are a kid you get tired and will literally pass out if you don't goto sleep by a certain time at night. Oh and there is a school uniform you are supposed to wear so if you change your clothes then you get in trouble for not wearing the uniform lol.

I think you'd like it. I had the same feeling but I bought it on sale on Steam for like 4 bucks a few weeks ago and had a blast with it.

BTW, the one I'm waiting on is NEXT year....

"Star Citizen" by Chris Roberts, who did the "Wing Commander" series. MMORPG space trade/combat.

Chris has never let me down.....well, except for the movie with Freddie Prinze Jr. :)
