My end game strategy would be for the US to warn the leaders of jihad that we'll target five of the most populated cities in Islam for nuking. They have until whatever time to convince all Muslims everywhere that jihad is dead, and that Jews and Christians are not their enemies. If they fail, and ISIL and others like them aren't decimated by the Iranians, Saudis, Egyptians, et al; then we're destroying Mecca, then Islamabad, then Tehran, or maybe all at once.

The Chinese and the Russians would fully support us because we'd make deals with them on how to divvy up the new Middle East.

If their religion is incapable of promoting peace with Jews and Christians, then perhaps our fine, secular US institutions of higher learning should be setting up shop in the Middle East, trying to promote the only path to peace, which is atheism. Isn't that a better alternative than converting them to Christianity? Ok, so now that the Christians have been largely displaced in all of the key areas of the ME, now it's your turn to go in there with your brand of humanist atheism and turn things around.
