“I’m not sending your son, your daughter, over to the middle of that chaos,” said Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, whose libertarian views have propelled him into contention for his party’s 2016 nomination. “The people who live there need to stand up and fight.” --Rand Paul (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/19/w...sis-bill-avoiding-bigger-war-debate.html?_r=0) While most in congress rattle the sabers and say yea, let's train more Syrian Rebels, Rand Paul at least had the stones to say no. I bet most people don't even know how their congressman voted. What is this lunacy? Isis was the group of Syrian rebels that Obama originally started funding. Now we have to fund another group of rebels to undo the damage the first did? How can this end well?
i say enough with the expensive missiles to, we cant continue this expensive way to fight them from air. http://thehill.com/policy/finance/218825-costs-rack-up-in-isis-fight
What does it cost to produce and deploy a nuclear missile? I bet we could Kickstarter the nuclear eradication of ISIS and surrounding vermin.
On the sidelines, nothing to lose, sniping. The Pres. has to make the decisions while Paul's own party slimes out of town and refuses to do its JOB, make a decision or take a vote. Yep, it sure is easy from the CHEAP SEATS.
You do understand that nuclear explosions and radiation don't conveniently seek out and kill specific people right? Iraq has a population of around 33.4 million ISIS has approximately 50-80,000 fighters You do the math.
Umm Congress declares war. Congress is in recess that is both parties.. Damnit man can you type one sentence without being a partisan hack?
Anyone of draft age you'd better be calling and E-Mailing the President and your Congressmen to tell them you're not going to fight their FALSE FLAG WARS ANYMORE. It is obvious all the beheading videos were faked(probably by our own CIA) and were filmed in the exact same location on the same day , and they were all staged the same way: Source: Paul Joseph Watson (Pease read the following proof) British forensic experts have concluded that the ISIS beheading video involving James Foley was in all likelihood staged using “camera trickery and slick post-production techniques.” An international forensic science company which does work for police forces across Britain found that, “James Foley’s execution may have been staged,” reports the Telegraph. The experts noted that despite Foley’s executioner appearing to draw a knife across the neck area at least six times, no blood is seen. The video itself does not show the actual beheading, merely a still image which purports to show Foley’s decapitated head resting on his body. “Aymenn al-Tamimi, a fellow at the Middle East Forum think-tank, remarked that ISIS has greatly improved their video production over the last few years,” reports the Inquisitr. “Techniques to fake a beheading would not be difficult for them to manage, and the video doesn’t exactly leave their failures on the hidden: Despite six slashing motion to James’ neck, no blood can be seen in the video; Foley’s reaction seems to be very disconnected with what is actually occurring, the analysts said.” This point was also covered in our analysis which emphasized how calm and collected Foley appeared to be as he read out his statement, a demeanor completely contradictory to the notion that he was about to be brutally executed. The experts also concluded that a blip in the footage suggests Foley misread one of his lines from the script and had to re-film the sequence. The obvious question that arises out of this is why ISIS militants, who have quickly developed a global reputation for their barbarity and carelessness for human life, would not simply have beheaded Foley on camera without the need to stage the event. The only logical conclusion, whether Foley was later killed or not, is that the video was not produced or released by actual ISIS militants but by western intelligence agencies to be used as a casus belli to expand military expansion in the middle east. For years we have exhaustively documented how so-called Al-Qaeda, Bin Laden and other terrorist propaganda videos were in fact produced by companies working on behalf of the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency. It has also emerged that the identity of the individual seen staging the murder, one Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, is a former rapper from a wealthy family who left London to fight in Syria. Bary fits the profile of an informant for British security services. The beheading video has been used as a poster child to push for a renewed U.S. military strike on Syria, a prospect that was derailed last year after it emerged that a supposed chemical weapons attack which was blamed on the Assad government had in all likelihood been carried out by western-backed rebels. U.S. officials have cited the “new context” for confronting ISIS that was spurred by the release of the Foley beheading video, with Washington signaling its intention on Saturday to prepare a new military assault on Syria. In our analysis, we pointed out several other factors that clearly suggested the James Foley video was not what it purported to be, including the absence of other militants who normally appear in beheading videos, the lack of references to the Koran and no chants of “Allahu Akbar” as the execution is taking place. Menawhile Obama is desperately trying to channel GW Bush to sound like he "has the stones" to...do ANYTHING EFFECTUAL.....hilarious.
If Obama hadn't pretended for over a year that ISIS didn't matter and could be ignored we wouldn't have to worry about beheadings.
I think the issues are all intertwined just like I don't think Paul is condoning beheadings but libs didn't get where they are by being scrupulously honest, did they. - - - Updated - - - Right. Corrected again.
We need those A-10 Warthogs to fight this war, not fighters with missiles. That canon in the nose of that plane can take out a group of people, a convoy of trucks and even a tank. That canon goes through the whole body of the plane. It can also drop bombs and missiles. We made a mistake and stopped making planes with guns on them. The last ones built was back in the late 1950's and 60's. with the F8U Crusader.
Huge fan of the tank killer... and the vulcan in its nose... but... these (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bags have a (*)(*)(*)(*)load of US and Russian (and Chinese) MANPADs we funneled to them through Turkey... we don't want to get close enough to use guns. The devastation that has sprung from Libya has yet to be understood. It will reap for decades.
Watch this A-10 on an enemy compound. Hear it's effective up to 2 miles away.
Think about what you just typed right there, and then realize who really destroys out freedoms. (hint: I bolded it for you)
Absolutely. I agree 100%. That is why I believe we don't need to play with terrorist groups any longer. We need to nip this in the bud. Mess with us and we will squash you. The politicians are almost as bad as the people we are fighting. They look for every reason they can to not take care of business. They are afraid they may offend somebody. When we defeat these people, let's do it quick and act like we are a super power. Quit postponing the inevitable. Postponing only allows our enemy to build.
It always makes me laugh when people say we're a "super power", like x-ray vision or something. But I do agree that we should go kick the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of them like we mean it. Problem is, there will always be a new group of these kinds of jackasses as long as we keep arming them.
Anyone remember the Highway of Death in Kuwait? This is what Obama could have done to ISIS when they first came down into Iraq from Syria, before they got into those towns. But he wouldn't. If he had, we wouldn't have the problem we have today.
