Woot woot! Esto Perpetua. Best state in the Union.

Maybe I should have been more specific. By "we", I didn't necessarily mean the government or the UN. Regular people also have the opportunity to help diminish injustice in the world. Take charities like the International Justice Mission and Compassion International. I didn't necessarily mean that we should invade any country we want and try to clean them up. That has shown to be a fairly bad idea in the past.

Well, I can assure you that I didn't intentionally leave that out, but it's good to see that you see it as the same injustice I see it as.

No, not necessarily. IJM frees slaves often by paying off debts that they owe to their masters. That's not violating sovereignty at all.

I think that slavery was not the worst atrocity committed by the US. I think that title goes to the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only use of weapons of mass destruction in human history. It sparked off decades of Cold War, standoffs, unrest and conflict over the use of nuclear weapons.

Let's focus on your highlighted parts for the time being. Of those 3,775, how many were black and how many had some black ancestry?

If we are genuinely talking about the [slavemaster-black concubine] owning slaves then there could be many explanations. One being the female, as part of the family, would have ownership yes but it would be the male that would have his foot on every bodies [wife included] neck. That's just one explanation isn't it. You know the other one, the one where Blacks purchased other Blacks in order to free them from the slavemaster, I think the government even began to outlaw the practice of freeing slaves at this time because this became such a common practice, or so I read in your article.

I think the U.N. and trade take credit for ending world wide conflicts when it was in fact nuclear weapons that ended such conflicts on a massive scale. By all means, eliminate nuclear weapons and see how long "kumbaya" globalism lasts.

Yup, mutually assured destruction still keeps the world from slipping over the edge to complete chaos. Now, if terrorists or a certain terrorist sponsoring state get nuclear weapons, then all bets are off.

The terrorists already have them. MAD is the crazies insurance policy for when the people finally have enough and over throw the NWO.

Our government don't do anything with Boko and ISIS only because they're "so far" from us. They think that while they're in Mid East, we're in safety, but in the light of recent events(multiple failed terrorist attacks) it seems like it's just an illusion!

First of all yes we are a nation of hypocrites and ace holes. Second, no slavery was not the worst atrocity committed by the USA and takes a back seat to the genocide of the Native Americans, and the many millions of lives we have exterminated for wars of profit.
