Once again proof that the world is a bizarre place comes on the heels of the Pope chiming in on Donald Trump's pledge to build a wall to protect the sovereignty of the US. We all know that Catholics in America put on their best clothes, genuflect and receive Communion, then renew their memberships to Ashlee Madison before aborting their unwanted children. Of course they then go to confession which absolves them of their behavior and the stairway to heaven is free to climb. It's not surprising that the Pope is criticizing Trump because the Pope is part and parcel of the trillion dollar establishment of the Catholic Church, the world's largest organized ring of child molesters. The Pope is saying that Trump is not holy enough to be president. You just can't make this stuff up.
Yep. He has managed to transcend politics. That takes one hell of a politician! - - - Updated - - - And some of your best friends are Catholic - right?
When trump takes down this idiot of a pope he will be guaranteed the WH. The lines are already being drawn.
It is amazing that the pope would comment on Trump's lack of faith when the church allows , and hides ,the vast number of child molesters , shameful !!!! CLEAN UP YOUR HOUSE FIRST !!!
Dante was even harsher than you regarding the Catholic church, and he was a devout Catholic! Most Catholics, like most Americans, are fine people. Most large human institutions are corrupt to one degree or another.
I know I'm not perfect. I know I've committee sins and I know I'm not the enth degree which is why I am not an Atheist. But I did not leave the church-the church left me.
I like what you post on this forum, and I am sure your reasons for leaving the Catholic church were good ones. Agnosticism is a rational choice. Religious faith is another rational choice. While I am not a 'church guy' I am also not a brain dead bigot. Neither are you. Some of my best friends are Agnostics - and Catholics.
I hate churches and since they are unholy inside their masks I do not trust their benediction. They are maledictions in essence. Of course religions are not always bad but churches are platforms for associations and devilish organizations. But Trump is a deadlier culprit and a joke in American politics. It degrades America's image and if he wins it will be proof that America is a country of fools voting for the biggest fool. He triggers social disruptions and leads a thousand innocents to violence and hatred. To choose or not choose is up to you when the issue is crystal clear since American politics is going gray and some innocents cannot distinguish between white and black.
If he's right about what he said about Trump, then by definition, the Pope is not a Christian until he tears down his walls. - - - Updated - - - I think the Pope made a HUGE mistake doing that. If anything, it's going to skyrocket Trump votes. This is primary season. The more of a splash you make, the more people sway your way. It's why Romney had such a hard time.
` ` The thread is typical. All the little Trumpettes are here defending their hero. But, say what you want about Trump, he's not stupid. He is a smart man with a deep understanding of what makes stupid people tick.
You can't make this stuff up? Sure you can! Your post reaks of offensive anti Catholic stereotypes. Which tells us a lot more about your own ignorance and intolerance that anything you have to say about the Pope or Donald Trump.
Regardless of the "Twitter war" between the Pope and the Donald. Realistically, Trump has no chance in the general election. 1. no latino vote 2. no black vote. 3. no youth vote 4. no independent women vote White males over 35, can't carry elections any longer. We saw that with McCain & Palin, Romney & Ryan The Republicans will lose the Presidency for the 3rd consecutive term if they run Trump in the general election. He simply does not have the numbers to carry it regardless of the Democratic opposition.
So you're against people being anti-any religion? Did the atheist anti-religion crowd just switch parties? This is news to me!
I agree with everything you just said, but I still think Pope Francis is making the Roman Catholic Church more user-friendly for its members and trying to improve its influence over the evolution of human society as we enter the 21st century. And I have no idea what Donald Trump's actual religious or political beliefs are. He's obviously decided to turn the 2016 US Presidential race into a reality show with himself as the host, and so far he's been doing this very successfully.
There are many hardliners in the Catholic Church. Pope Francis has made the church vulnerable which gives the hardliners more say in the election of the next pope. Francis may have set the church further back then he moved it forward.
I find it a bit odd that you complain about stereotyping Catholics when LIBERALS have been BASHING Catholics for decades now (and probably more). Honestly, you CAN'T make this stuff up.
From what I was hearing this morning, Trump is already saying the Pope was misinterpreted and that he (Trump) reacted to the poor interpretation. He also says he has a great deal of respect for the Pope and thinks the Pope is a good guy with a lot of 'energy'. In other words, he doesn't want to take on the Pope. I don't blame him; 40% of the U.S. military identify themselves as Catholic.
A little late to the party aren't you? These things already existed long before Trump. Trump is saying what many are thinking-What the hell is going on? We need to fix this!
