The very fact they are there is Obama's decision. All results flow from that so the nuances of day-to-day orders that make the operation successful (which is what you're getting at I think) are only successful due to his larger decision to have them in the ME in the numbers that are over there.

Immediately, Islam defenders will say that some similar things are found in the Holy Bible, too. BUT, when was the last time that Christians or Jews went on big, world-wide murdering rampages? Many hundreds of years ago? Islam itself promotes murdering and molesting ALL "infidels" TODAY, in the 21st Century. You're trying to stitch the Yugoslavian civil war (sometimes called the "Third Balkan War" and/or "Croatian War of Independence") into being the same kind of religious war that ISIS is waging on all "infidels"...? So, following your logic that the Balkans civil war was a religious war, we shouldn't blame the military government of Japan for its role in World War II, but instead, put the blame on the Shinto religion and "Emperor Worship"? When the Crusaders went barging into the Middle East a thousand years ago to push the Muslims out of the "Holy Land", THAT was religious war. And Christianity, per se, hasn't engaged as an organized religion like that since. I didn't 'claim it was only two', I merely asked for proof of your wild assertion of it being 'hundreds of thousands', but a good try at getting off the hook of having to provide me with a link though. But anyhoo, I suspect you're confusing the issue somewhat - the USAF probably killed a handful of insurgents who just happened to be in the desert where most of the bombing was taking place, but it was the Russians who got the rest of them.
