    Uh Ohhhhhh!!!!

Seems like another of the predictions of the "science is settled" crowd isn't quite happening like they said it would.

    http://https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2016/03/23/falling-sea-level/
So, as of today I'm not planning on giving them all my money and control over my life so they can fix the problem.

"Site cannot be reached. DNS server not found"

Besides which. Nonsense. GLOBAL levels are rising, as well as specific areas of the Atlantic seaboard. There are variables to take into account.

Steven Goddard is blogger Tony Heller and he claims to have perpetrated an elaborate hoax to show the power of a crackpot like himself.

I just fixed the OP's link. How much tax dollars is the NOAA getting for global warming research?

I see you didn't address his post. You see the OP uses NOAA's data. He cherry picked a brief period to claim that sea levels were falling. But looking at the overall data, it is clear they aren't. Are you attempting to claim that NOAA's data is unreliable? Because then you would be saying that the OP is also unreliable.

And it certainly isn't just NOAA that has measured sea level rise. There is also the Japanese Meteorological Agency
    http://www.data.jma.go.jp/gmd/kaiyou/english/state_of_ocean_climate_index.html

And the MET just to name a couple
    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate-change/guide/impacts/high-end/sea-level

But of course they are also in on this vast 50 year global conspiracy.

And NOAA itself doesn't do a lot of the research. It is done by research universities across the planet. But the total budget for NOAA is around ~5.8 billion. $520 million of which goes to ALL NOAA research, not just climate change research.

    http://research.noaa.gov/AboutUs/OurBudget.aspx

So pennies compared to the billions the fossil subsidies, and significantly smaller than the $876 million the department of fossil energy gets for research.

Did you miss the first part of the sentence where it acknowledged that global sea levels were rising and it was the regional area of Japan that hasn't seen an overall rise since 1906? Looking at the overall information, you see that since the 80s Japan has seen the same level of rise or higher than the global average. The JMA won't say it is for certain due to climate change becaus it doesn't have the long term trend the global rise has seen.

Anyway, throughout the article they clearly say that global seas are rising multiple times.

    Japan is a Volcano Island.

Volcano's protrude the ground over time. "That means they go up".

Here is a list of Volcano's in Japan.

So why would someone take one isolated scenario and project it to be the truth about everything? Because that is what people in politics do, and the weak repeat it..

In short. Volcano's go up. Water goes up. No change noted.

Did you miss the part where it said "in contrast to the IPCC" report? Did you see "no clear long-term trend of rise is seen for the period from 1906 to 2015"? Did you see that "These figures are comparable to those observed for the global average in recent years." The result of this study, you linked, indicated that "their" sea levels are not "rising". But maybe their sea is different... some sort of gravitational anomaly perhaps.

Read the previous post. Their volcano's are rising at a similar rate as the sea.

I did not claim their sea levels were rising. I said they also say GLOBAL sea levels are rising

Are you suggesting they are running out to the volcanoes and putting chalk lines on them to measure the sea, and that is why there is no observable change over 110 years... or... ?

And according to that link... the volcanoes aren't rising... if they are rising at the same rate as the sea...

    - - - Updated - - -

No... they said that the IPCC reports that global sea levels are rising... and their data contrasts that.

    Very good. Explain this: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/12/02/world/The-Marshall-Islands-Are-Disappearing.html?_r=0
    And this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...e-relocated-over-rising-sea-level-threat.html
    Or this: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/indonesia-losing-1500-islands-rising-sea-1438000
Are they sinking? These people aren't scientists or government officials. They don't have an agenda; they are living with sea level increase every day.
