You guys and gals aren't going to believe this story. We've gotten to the point where a terrorist group defending other terrorists, and that's what they are, terrorists, can now get teachers fired because they're complaining about pretty much not having a safe space from the students they teach. In an effort to be politically correct we are now turning our backs on the people who will teach our kids, our future leaders. Where are the teacher's unions? They should be demanding a cop in every classroom, but they're not. Political correctness and the BLM terrorists are paralyzing our schools and it won't be long before it comes to a school near you.
Teachers have been voting democrat for 30 years. I don't have a single ounce of sympathy for them. Reap what you sow
"new discipline guidelines issued by the Obama administration. " ' For the Obama dindu nuthin crowd....
Cops in schools is a pretty terrible ideas. Any time anyone has an interaction with a cop there is the possibility of things going horrifically wrong. If you don't think about it too hard it sounds fine. Everyone wants their kids to be safe. But try to remember back when you were in school. Do you want the government involved in every after school fist fight? Do you want them constantly looking for reasons to justify their jobs at your kids expense?
Excellent and accurate observation! These socialist teachers' unions have made cushy careers out of what is essentially now little more than a glorified baby-sitting job. But, anybody who owns property in the United States is the poor bastard who gets stuck with having to support 'the peoples' education industry'. If they would get this responsibility off the backs of property owners and put it directly onto those who have offspring in the schools (or who have ever had them in public schools), THEN, at least it would be fair. Hint: Approximately 70% - 83% of all the money you pay in property taxes goes directly to school districts! We are always pissing and moaning about the sad state of our roads and streets, and the fact that so many of our bridges are barely safe enough to cross over, BUT, we've always got plenty of citizens' money to lavish on the 'education industry' -- and everybody must pay these taxes to the schools -- whether you have any children in their damned schools or not!
IF you love your kids or grandchildren then sacrifice and put them in private schools. Sure it may mean that you cannot afford some of the nicer things in life for awhile but you have to decide which is worth more, your kids/grandkids or BS stuff.
Yeah, I hear you on that, but what I was thinking about is the union. What do we hear whenever we criticize unions? We hear how they make the work places safer, right? So now that teachers are being assaulted where are they? It's strange how we can't get an under performing or a perverted teacher removed from the classroom, but all it takes is for a teacher to complain about being assaulted and s/he's gone. On this issue I'm siding with the teachers and I can't blame them for not wanting to be slapped around and then being called a racist if they complain about it. Also, it's not so much the teachers I have a problem with, it's their unions.
Sorry, Javis.....Rightwing Radio teaches its audience that "all teachers are liberals"....oh, and "greedy" and "lazy" too. Kinda bad when a Rightwing stereotype hits home....huh?
Post #8...it's the unions, stupid! That the teacher's unions have been in the pocket of the DNC for decades is not a stereotype. It's fact!
Liberals need to publish a document with the few remaining things to say that are not racist. In two years' time, it's perfectly sane to think that approaching a black man and asking for a cigarette with be full blown bigotry! Ahhhhh!
not all, but yes, I agree with the sentiment. Usually, the democratic strongholds in education are big cities.
