Yet you admit their goal yet deny it exists. That is the typical twisted thinking of a snowflake.

I accept your third surrender. It's a great look for you: obsequious and servile.

The goal of radical Islam is the long view, some here have a long view that equals the attention span of a TV show.

    Attention span noted.

What are you talking about? There is no English (or British) constitution. There is no written or unwritten constitution. You are wrong. The only "lack of understanding" is your own. The poster who corrected you did not lack anything on this matter. He was speaking correctly, and you were not.

Just to clarify, in the event doubts were starting to creep in from the extraordinarily ignorant claims of our Ria buddy: there is no constitution in the UK. I speak as a resident.

No your ignorance of our countries constitution is now there for all to see.

The constitution of a country is a set of rules regulating the powers of its government and the rights and duties of its citizens.

In all but a handful of democracies in the world, the nation's constitution can be found in a single document. The exceptions are Israel, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

As a result, people sometimes say that we in Britain do not have a constitution.

It is true that there is no enacted document in which the constitution can be found (unlike the Republic of Ireland, for example, or the United States).

It is also true that we do not have 'constitutional' laws - laws of fundamental importance that can only be changed through some special legislative procedure.

Thus the Bill of Rights 1689 could easily be amended in 1996 so that the former MP Neil Hamilton could pursue his libel action against the Guardian.

    An 'unwritten constitution'?

But the United Kingdom does have a constitution; it is just a little hard to track down.

People frequently say we have an 'unwritten constitution' in the United Kingdom.

Professor Vernon Bogdanor of Oxford University dismisses this as a 'misleading platitude'.

As he explains, much of our constitution is to be found in written documents or statutes such as Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights, the Act of Settlement and the Parliament Acts.

There will soon be other documents on this distinguished list, as explained in the section on new constitutional measures.

Professor Bogdanor prefers to call Britain's constitution historic. By that he means it has evolved over the years, the product of historical development rather than deliberate design.

But 'historic' does not mean 'old-fashioned'. Our constitution is evolving so quickly at present that only an on-line version of it can be entirely up to date

You speak as an ignorant resident.

What are the identifiable features of the British Constitution?

It is uncodified and incremental: the British constitution remains a ramshackle construction, which is to be found in statutes, treaties, conventions and other documents, all of which have been pieced together over time and with little coherent ‘purpose’.

It is flexible, and yet there are several features of the British constitution which do not seem easily amendable by Parliament.

Except that it is the dishonesty and denial of such people as this mayor which is causing the problem.

Trump is not the brightest guy around but his views on Islam are quite accurate. MAinstream muslims alienate themselves by supporting violent terrorism and Sharia law. It is quite true that western secular values and civilization is incompatible with mainstream islam. Mainstream islam teaches that Islam must dominate the world through violent means. This of course is believed and supported even if only tacitly by most mainstream muslims.

London does not contradict those facts

And you speak as a fool.

If we had a constitution it would be called thus. It doesn't matter what statutes exist. Until they're called a "constitution" there is no constitution. If you want to call boiled eggs a "constitution" then you may do so, but it would be absurd and you would, again, look a fool. But that much is your choice.

Clearly you know more than the British Library or any of the other sources I have quoted! Jim Nash the british constitution expert of the world!

Want legal advice on the British Constitution, who you gonna call? Jim Nash or a lawyer!

    The United Kingdom Constitution
    A Written or Unwritten Constitution?

The United Kingdom is often said to be a country without a written constitution. This is not strictly true. Although there is no single codifying document, such as the United States or France have, more than half of the British constitution is written down, mainly in statutes and case law. Other aspects of the constitution are found in non-binding conventions, parliamentary rules, and the royal prerogative. These various sources make it difficult to pinpoint specifics of the constitution, but on the other hand allow for the constitution to be easily amended, giving it a flexible nature. Traditionally, the UK constitution is said to be founded on two principles: the doctrine of parliamentary supremacy and the rule of law.

Wikipedia needs your help Jim, they have it wrong!

The constitution of the United Kingdom is the sum of laws and principles that make up the body politic of the United Kingdom. It concerns both the relationship between the individual and the state, and the functioning of the legislature, the executive and judiciary. Unlike many other nations, the UK has no single constitutional document. This is sometimes expressed by stating that it has an uncodified or "unwritten" constitution.[1] Much of the British constitution is embodied in written documents, within statutes, court judgments, works of authority and treaties. The constitution has other unwritten sources, including parliamentary constitutional conventions.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_the_United_Kingdom

And best let the Queen know!

The Royal Prerogative are a set number of powers and privileges held by The Queen as part of the British constitution.
    http://royalcentral.co.uk/blogs/insight/what-are-the-queens-powers-22069

Now what you got to show there is no constitution!

Its somehow (because you lefties say so) a religion of peace and yet say the wrong thing and they will decide to blow you up.

    Your excuses ARE the problem.

Indeed, and Islam is a natural pairing with the left-lefties admire their zeal, and muslims like the useful idiots.

"Not strictly true" is an invariable get out clause when something is true. A constitution is a written document called "constitution". This is both true and strictly true. Lack of said document is lack of a constitution. This is also both true and strictly true.

That's the same vague assertion you've been pedalling with Borat. One man's vague assertion does not define a word. Call it what you like, it's no more a constitution than a flower pot. You criticised him of linguistic lackings, yet you demonstrate the most approximate grasp of language on this matter, and are trying to use other such approximate grasps as evidence of your own failings here. There is no constitution.

I wouldn't worry too much about what "Royal Central" has to say if Wikipedia doesn't make the grade. The Royal Prerogative are a set number of powers and privileges held by The Queen - that much may be true, but the rest is nonsense, there being no constitution. That will never change until such a time as we have a constitution.

You really think you know better than the British Library, wikipedia, lawyers, and all the other sources I have quoted, priceless! Keep going I have never seen this much ignorance or intransigence before.

Here you go, perhaps you think you know better than the then Lord Chancellor and then Prime Minister,

In most modern democracies, the government’s only powers are those
granted to it by a written constitution or by the legislature. A distinguishing
feature of the British constitution is the extent to which government
continues to exercise a number of powers which were not granted to
it by a written constitution, nor by Parliament, but are, rather, ancient
prerogatives of the Crown. These powers derive from arrangements which
preceded the 1689 Declaration of Rights and have been accumulated by
the government without Parliament or the people having a say.

No, here is the definition from the oxford dictionary,

A body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed:

    http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/constitution

So you do not need a document to have a constitution.

    .

No, that is a quote from the source provided, I did not write it!

What's ironic is that London will likely see a rise in terrorism because of this mayor, but only because he won't be Muslim enough. Tolerance is not something Islam understands...
