No idea. But they've also got quite some weird symbolism going on, and strange rituals as you can see.

I am not interested the beliefs of some group who made up a new religion and called it "Satanism".

My point was that the whole concept of "Satan" is messed up right from the get go.

Even one believes in the Satan mythology (the great deceiver out take over the world and so on). Do you really think a great deceiver with God-like powers is going to show up with horns and a red cape ? That would kind of defeat the purpose of deception would it not ?

If you want to see the real face of evil ... open eyes and look no further than the Christian and Islamic Fundamentalists.

It IS an occult symbol, however, now they are coming out of the shadows with it and popularize it through music, movies and other media so people like you think it's all normal, or even 'cool'.

 

It's bound to happen. It doesn't take a "they" for it to happen. Look at how 666 became popular and widespread. It's quite natural for people to make light of something they have previously feared for no good reason.
