Europeans In Exodus To Russian Facebook to Avoid Censorship

This is pretty amazing. I know here in America, we are guaranteed our right to speech, but could that be coming to an end? Are hate speech laws coming here? I know of some here that would actually support the idea, but would bet most would not.

What say you? Should people, let alone Americans live under laws about what they can and cannot say?

This is not surprising. Now only in Russian people can be free and not afraid of surveillance and censorship. This is known to everyone who has a brain. In the US and EU - Fascist regimes, so people tend seek to Russian forums.

 

Actually, there is a problem. Facebook has become really really supercareful in respect of that what the FB users write. Some special words, definitions may be a reason for getting a ban. Also it's almost impossible to conduct any sort of political activity if it concerns some kind of conflict or antagonism. Combined groups of your opponents can make your life in FB very troubled.

 

So Russia is now the worlds bastion of freedom and liberty?

This has got to be the most wrong headed post which appears to be designed for deceit . There us virtually nothing about Russia orvRussian things thatbhavevanything to do with freedom.. Putin gas been killing off or hailing anyone who tries to practice anything approaching freedom. Only complete ignorant brain dead kaboom has would think thatvRussian FachevBook could in any way be " free".

 

You do not have to buy the truth, but there is much more freedom in Russia then in U.S.

What the freedom in social networks has to do with the Wiki page?

The United States is the world's leader on the quantity of prison population, also on police killings, and people in Guantanamo Bay are tortured officially. But what all this stuff has to do with the freedom of social networks in internet?

I have family in both countries, only been in US.
You have more restrictions and weird laws that hinder your freedom than the average European country. So you can LOL all day long.

 

It's quite possible the Russian VK social media site is less restrictive than Zuckerberg's Facebook.

It's funny to read from a citizen of the country (the United States) in which the officially permitted torture people detained in prison without trial. People are being killed for a different skin color. In the US, government agencies monitor their citizens and much more .... But ... it was fun to read your comment.

You can do this easily. There are no restrictions. Once again, Russia - the most freest country in the world.

 

I suppose we choose to lock them up. In other countries, ie Russia, they kill them rather than lock them up.

You are wrong. Russia is the most peaceful and the most free country in the world.
For example, in Russia, no one shoots gays in gay clubs. In Russia, no one shoots at schools, universities and shopping centers.
In Russia, the police did not shoot at people with disabilities and people with a different skin color.
Very kindly and cultured people live in Russia.
Not look the Western media - it is harmful to the brain.
