The US had NOTHING to do with the Arab Spring in Libya.. The conflict started in Eastern Libya in Feb 2011.. by tribes that had hated Gaddafi for decades.

He was encouraged to step down by everyone.. In the end not even Mugabe or Chavez would offer him shelter in exile.. There is a reason that Gaddafi had NO friends.

The Arab Spring in Libya if you can call it that, played on by the Saud and the MB in Libya. Brought on by the French. Which was revealed thru Hillarys emails when she busted out Sarkosy's operative in Libya. Who became a Clinton Foundation Donor. Wherein she agreed that the French would get 35% of all business Contracts once Gadhafi was removed and the TNC was up and running.

You've mentioned the drought that has significantly impacted Syria, perhaps even its politics, several times. Water matters in this region, as you pointed out. The really valuable resource for the people in this region may be the water in the Golan Heights. It supplies lots of water to Israel, but could be diverted to meet Syria's water needs. The Golan Heights actually belongs to Syria anyway.

Dick Cheney, Rupert Murdoch and Jacob Rothschild have drilling rights in the Golan Heights, granted by Israel… on land that belongs to Syria.

The plot thickens.

 

The US should not have gotten involved in Syria on the side of the terrorists. Instead of trying to oust Assad we should have been helping him defeat terrorists or stood aside. Obama and pals were wrong on this and that can never be forgiven...
