Just another typical weekend in Chicago. When will people wake up and just admit that our justice system is failing us. I have been arguing this point for a long time and I will continue, OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS PUTTING VIOLENT FELONS BACK ON THE STREETS AS FAST AND WE CAN ARREST THEM. We don't need gun control, it only restricts that lawful among us. We need to stop with the plea bargains and early release programs for violent felons!! Over this past weekend, nine people were killed, and 50 others wounded in Chicago, home of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton where Rahm Emanuel is the mayor. As reported by CNN, Chicago police have arrested two brothers in connection with the death of NBA star Dwyane Wades cousin Nykea Aldridge. Darwin Sorrells Jr., 26, and Derren Sorrells, 22, have each been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder, police said Sunday. Darwin Sorrells has also been charged with a count of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. Both men are gang members who were on parole for gun convictions. On parole? At ages 22 and 26, how much time could they have possibly served for gun convictions? We let violent criminals back onto our streets way to soon, so they can just go out and perpetrate more violence. The Bureau of Justice says that 71% of those arrested for violent felonies are REPEAT OFFENDERS.
A police officer did not kill a black person yet, so Chicago does not matter. Black people (*)(*)(*)(*)ing each other up is not so bad though. So they let it pass. Their "stand" against oppression is so weak. I understand the cop thing, but when you stop there when most blacks are killed by other blacks (hundreds in Chicago alone), but don't speak out equally hard about the latter, I can't take these fools seriously. A lot of this crazy violence take place in Democratic strongholds or where the arm of Democratic legislation has not improved anything (like in Orlando).

Murders are up by 72% and shootings by 88% in Chicago. I guess repealing the ban on selling firearms and the ban on possession of handguns hasn't done the city much good.

Why do you keep comparing Australia to the U.S. ? We have a larger population, and our murderer population probably equals the population of some Australian towns, so obviously, our murder rate will be very high.
Wow, you completely miss the point. We have nearly a half a billion firearms that are going no where. No matter how much you stomp your feet and pout, they are not going to suddenly disappear. There is no gun ban going to happen anytime soon, and if it did, it doesn't mean criminals will be disarmed. Lets stay grounded in reality. All solutions must recognize this. Criminal justice system reform can reduce the habitual gun crime, if our politicians would just address it. 3/4 of firearm homicides are gang/drug related and most are repeat offenders. Lets segregate these recidivists from the peaceable society for long long sentences and gun crime WILL drop dramatically. Stop with the plea bargains that allow felons to negotiate down to misdemeanors and stop with the early release programs.
Not only that, one of the shooters was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet and had only been out of prison for hours. Notice how he had no problem illegally obtaining a firearm. They need to start putting them to death. Even if all Guns were banned and confiscated, Criminals would still get Guns ! Cocaine is Illegal as Hell, produced in Columbia, imported Illegally to the U.S. and sold, the Drug Cartels can Import Guns as easily as they import Drugs.
And they build tunnels, use Aircraft, ships, boats, hidden in religious statues and Religious Icons etc... As long as there is a huge profit to be made, the Illegal Drug trade will thrive, cut off the profit, and the drug trade will wither, dry up, and blow away.....
