There were a few other calls. One was when there was a malfunction and the Russian in charge decided not to respond to it. Also if I recall correctly a Russian missile was heading towards Germany... but it was caught in time.

It was a Soviet missile. There was no big deal over it ...but I caught it in the news.

If Israel did not have nukes people who hate Jews and Israel to the degree of your messages would cause the death of every Jew in Israel and everywhere else in the world. The level of hatred and bigotry against Jews such as in your messages is the oldest and most wide spread bigotry in known world history that has caused atrocities against Jews all across the world thru today. The greatest problem in the world is the fixation on hate-mongering bigotry such as in your non-stop spewing out hatred in new thread after thread after thread in you apparent goal to at least try to run every Jew off this forum in your personal message-war against all Jews.

DON'T FORGET 'SELF HATING JEWS' WHO SAY:

"There are often attempts to silence critics of Israel by conflating legitimate criticism with anti-Semitism. Israel is a state, not a person. Everyone has the right to criticise unjust actions of a state.”(see below)

I dare you to find ANY Post I've written in condemnation of the policies of the Genocidal Zionist Regime that expresses genuine
    "Jew Hating"

Now that the term "anti Semite", the former "Epithet of Mass Destruction", has become meaningless Hasbara fodder,
Apologists for Zionist Genocide & Israel's network of Hasbara Trolls simply spew "Jew Hate" ad nauseam since they have no justification for the Zionist Ethnic Cleansing that has ravaged Historic Palestine & continues to systematically exterminate Palestine's Native non Jewish Residents

"ISRAEL'S PLAN DALET"; THE GREEN LIGHT FOR ZIONISM'S ETHNIC CLEANSING OF PALESTINE"
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/israels...estine/5326140

EXCERPT “On that day in 1948, two months before Israel’s unilateral declaration of independence in defiance of the will of the organized international community as it then was at the UN, Zionism’s in-Palestine political and military leaders met in Tel Aviv to formally adopt PLAN DALET, the blueprint with operational military orders for the ethnic cleansing of Palestine.”CONTINUED

Apparently, you are unaware that a growing amount of opposition to the Zionist Genocide you attempt to obfuscate comes from Jews, themselves:

“Opposition to Israeli policies growing among Jews in USA”
    https://redflag.org.au/article/opposition-israeli-policies-growing-among-jews-usa

EXCERPT “ For most of its existence since 1948, Israel has had the support of most Jews in the US.

That is beginning to change, on different levels. This is important because US imperialism’s military and economic support for Israel is key to the maintenance of the Jewish-supremacist state.
As more US Jews speak out to one degree or another in opposition to Israeli policies, they can have an impact.

The emergence and growth of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is an important indicator. “We represent a growing portion of Jewish Americans.

Israel claims to be acting in the name of the Jewish people, so we are compelled to make sure the world knows that many Jews are opposed to their actions.

There are often attempts to silence critics of Israel by conflating legitimate criticism with anti-Semitism. Israel is a state, not a person. Everyone has the right to criticise unjust actions of a state.”CONTINUED

Yes, in spite of Hasbara Howlings, condemnation of the Genocidal Zionist State grows among America's Jewish population who are repulsed by the atrocities committed by their fellow Jews in Israel rendering your frenetic tantrum the desperate smokescreen for Zionist Genocide it really is.

No threat to world peace whatsoever. If Israel nukes Iran we aren't all going to kill ourselves in sympathy for either of them.

Nothing to do with Israel but yes one the malfunction you talk of happened and they made this amazing documentary about it and the Russian colonel who saved the world from a nuclear war was interviewed. Its a friggn scary and amazing story.

The true story of the close calls in the ME we probably will never fully know. They can be read now but there's probably far more close calls
we will never know about. Nuclear weapons are something in an ideal world no one should have.

Today the Russians have spent a fortune reinvesting in less powerful smaller nuclear tipped rockets which they see as part of a "limited"
nuke war they think they can win. The US under Obama does not appear to have kept up with that. Alpha would know more but I believe
Russians outnumber the US with small nuke weapons and the deterrent against attacks into the Baltic states or Finland or even Poland or Ukraine could be impacted by this imbalance.

The reality is Saudi Arabia could get a nuke bomb from Pakistan at any time. The reality is anyone, any idiot or terrorist can make a dirty bomb with radioactive fall out. The reality is Iran has had the capability of using nuke weapons it bought from North Korea or the black market out of
failed former Soviet states. I do think China and Russia have enough influence to hold Iran at bay for now. I say that because China's naval alliance with Israel came about as Germany armed Israel with state of the art subs capable of nuking Iran to smithereens without delivery by plane when it appeared Obama was screwing up and giving the wrong signals pushing Merkel in crisis form with clearance by NATO do to that.

This would have happened with Libya and Obama's turning his back and Britain, France, Italy, Germany and Canada fresh in their minds and
Obama's threat to unilaterally reveal nuke sites in Europe to Russia without NATIO approval in return for a peace agreement.

To say NATO-Obama relations are strained is an understatement and its the major reason the NATO war in Syria is ham strung and a farse.

The US military can not do and is not allowed to do what it is capable of. Its been held back by Obama in favour of placating Morsi and Erdogan and now Iran. The Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, Israelis, and Gulf States have felt betrayed by Obama not the US and they are hoping Clinton if she is elected reverts more to what her husband did or what Bush did or hell even Reagan. All those countries can live with and want a
US police power. They do not want Russia-China-Iran calling the shots while the US stays off world stage.

NATO is totally dependent on the US. If the US continues to hamstring NATO, the vacuum allowing Iran, China and Russia to call the shots will continue in my opinion which I openly concede is totally bias and subjective and only meant for discussion and to focus this thread back to nukes.

Israel's nuke capacity was never hidden from the Arab world but it was never openly discussed so as to show the Arab world it wasn't being used as a weapon against them only a deterrent to the Soviets. Today the implication of Iran having nuke weapons is very troubling.

Quite frankly North Korea, Pakistan and Iran having nuke weapons should frighten anyone given their unstable regimes and the extremist
beliefs in them and that is what it comes down to.

Let's be real. I don't sit in Canada worried the US will nuke me. I do worry about Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and maybe Brazil or South Africa if a crazy extremist got elected. I don't exactly trust Putin either, but let's get real, most of us don't sit around worrying about Britain, France, the US using nuke weapons as a first strike attack against infidels.

See this post can flood the board with al the anti Jewish, anti Israeli innuendos it wants the reality is Jews don't travel the world blowing people up in the name of their God and calling out for the world wide genocide of Muslims as Muslims do Jews in the government of Iran.

I agree with most of your post however this is off the mark.

Do not get me wrong, I do not like Putin and do thing much of Russia in general however, we were the ones that forced Russia to start building short range nuclear cruise missiles.

In 2002 Bush unilaterally pulled out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) treaty. Putin's comment was (this is a mistake). The ABM treaty was based on the MAD principle (mutually assured destruction). The point of this treaty was to discourage some buckaroo from thinking a nuclear war was winnable " we can strike first and when they strike back we can shoot their missiles down with our "missile defense"

Then, in 2007 Bush makes plans to put ABM's on Russia's border in Poland and Czechoslovakia which destabilizes nuclear detente and forces Russia to take counter measures. Can you imagine if Russia started putting ABM's/missile defense on US borders. The Pentagon would cry loudly.

Russia threatened various counter measures. The most scary was "nukes in space". Right now it takes roughly 30 min for a nuke to make it here from Russia. It would not make me sleep better at night having a nuke above my head 30 seconds away. Talk about hair trigger.

Fortunately Russia did not select this option. There are other options such as more nuclear subs but, the option Russia choose was to build short and intermediate range nuclear cruise missiles.

These missiles would be used to take out the ABM's prior to launch. Building these was a violation of the short and intermediate range treaty.

Obama took to the stage tearing into Russia "Russia has violated the Short and Intermediate range nuke treaty".

For 3 or 4 days the mainstream media clowns showed footage of Reagan signing various nuclear arms treaties in an effort to demonize Russia.

What Obama (and the media) fail to mention (of course) is that- we were the one's that forced Russia to take counter measures (build nuclear cruise missiles) by destabilizing nuclear detente via putting ABM's on Russia's borders.

The idea that any country (including Russia) thinks it can win a nuclear war (limited or otherwise - not sure what this even means) against another significant nuclear power such as the US is absurd.

The idea of "limited" in the context you are referring to (US vs Russia) is absurd as well. Neither country is going to allow the other to nuke the other country without full scale retaliation.

Iran is angry that Israel has nukes, cause these nukes prevent Iran from destroying Israel.

This is the whole thread there

Someone else mentioned Iran could get nukes anytime. I.. Could be wrong often am but I don't think so. What is their deterrent to not? It would give them tremendous more bullying and posturing leverage. Not like they care about treaties or anything. They would just flip the world the bird and say deal with it in a diplomatically written statement.

They've been busy too, lots of distracting little actions all over. Maybe they are close to announcing that nightmare soon?

    Nothing.

That's what pisses the Iranians off.

Yah and people run around in Jerusalem stabbing and attacking Israelis, and world wide China and Russia as well as others are engaging in cuber attacks. So should I blame Iran for all that?

Iran openly calls for the extermination of Israel and you spin it so that its Israel that is the threat to Iran because
you without any evidence blame Israel for what you state?

Get back to me when you have some evidence.

Iran is tied with Saudi Arabia as the world's the no.1 financier of the world's terrorists. Israel is not.

    End of story.

You edited out part of the title of the source I cited & why nukes in the hands of extortionists & deranged Genocidal Right Wing Extremists is not a good thing:

    “ISRAELI NUCLEAR THREATS AND BLACKMAIL”
“The Samson Option Still Threatens the World”
    http://www.carolmoore.net/nuclearwar/israelithreats.html

EXCERPT “Originally a strategy of last resort retaliation - even if it means Israel’s annihilation - it has developed into being a nuclear bullying strategy to further Israel’s territorial goals through threats and blackmail.

Israel has bullied not only Arab and Muslim nations, but the United States and Russia with its Samson Option threats.(*)

Mordechai Vanunu has alleged that Israel uses for purposes of blackmail its ability to "bombard any city all over the world, and not only those in Europe but also those in the United States."[8]

In 1977, after a right-wing coalition under Menachen Begin took power, the Israelis began to use the Samson Option not just to deter attack but to allow Israel to “redraw the political map of the Middle East” by expanding hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers into the West Bank and Gaza.[18]

Then-Minister of Defense Ariel Sharon said things like "We are much more important than (Americans) think. We can take the middle east with us whenever we go"[19] and "Arabs may have the oil, but we have the matches."[20](*)

He proclaimed his - and many Likud Party members' - goals of transforming Jordan into a Palestinian state and “transferring” all Palestinian refugees there. (*)A practice known worldwide as "ethnic cleansing."CONTINUED

As you know, unlike Iran, which hasn't started a War in 300 years, Israel has initiated all of its Wars[1], continues to attack its neighbors with impunity & aids ISIL / Daesh[2]

Additionally, Israel has already used Tactical Nukes in Syria in behalf of their ISIL Allies[3].

How long will it take, do you think for Israel to pass on a few Tactical Nukes to their buddies in Daesh?

[1] “Begin’s Admission in 1982 That Israel Started Three of Its Wars”
    http://www.wrmea.com/backissues/0794/9407073.htm

EXCERPT “It was 12 years ago when Prime Minister Menachem Begin admitted in public that Israel had fought three wars in which it had a "choice," meaning Israel started the wars.

Begin's admission came in a speech delivered on Aug. 8, 1982, before the Israeli National Defense College. His purpose was to defuse mounting criticism of Israel's invasion of Lebanon, which had begun two months earlier on June 5 and was clearly one of Israel's wars of "choice." The others were in 1956 and 1967.” CONTINUED

EXCERPT “Many analysts, who have been following the Israeli attacks on Syria since early May, are convinced that Israel has used nuclear weapons against Syria of a tactical nuclear level.(*)

It is clear that at least two nuclear weapons and perhaps four or more have been used against Syria by Israel.(*)

Videos shot of an Israeli attack in early May (link ~ link)(*) (and also one undertaken last week) clearly show mushroom clouds with lighting, a telltale sign of a nuclear weapon.”CONTINUED

Your posts are pages long with unrelated off topic links and personal attacks Grau, they have to be edited for common sense.

All nations that have nuclear arms use their power in the same other manner. US uses it to put other nations under it's nuclear umbrella and gain trade deals, North Korea uses it to gain concessions at the international level, Iran uses it to garner technology and impress their people as they take on the world, India and Pakistan use it to get the US to place pressure on the other and get aid.

""Israel has bullied not only Arab and Muslim nations, but the United States and Russia with its Samson Option threats.(*)""

Post these threats. Your example of how they use nuclear weapons to put more settlements on the ground is almost as silly as the charge that there is an Israeli sniper operating in Iraq.

    Snip, excerpt and continued.

Oh, any proof of those Israeli snipers in Iraq yet or just a theory that you pretend is fact?

I guess you have not noticed that we are already in a world war.

    Consider the following:

    • DAESH (aka ISIS/ISIL) is currently fighting or conducting terror attacks on multiple fronts on five continents (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Australia.)
    • The gold coin DAESH issued has a map of the world on the back, supporting the previously stated intention to establish a worldwide caliphate. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...slavement-paying-deranged-gunmen-dollars.html
    • DAESH has a propaganda machine to rival the sophistication of anything Joseph Goebbels ever even dreamed of running. This machine is dedicated to world-wide recruitment, and to raising both financial and ideological support for the caliphate.
    • Multiple nations fighting DAESH are concurrently fighting other enemies, (e.g., Turkey v. the Kurds, Assad vs. Syrian rebels, Russia vs. Syrian rebels, USA-by proxy via Syrian Rebels vs. Assad).

These other military conflicts create conflicts of interest that muddy the waters when trying to establish (or determine) clear alliances. This could easily lead to the introduction of a much larger conflict than the war against DAESH.
    • Despite the fact that Turkey, the US, the Kurds, and Russia are all fighting DAESH, these powers' concurrent conflicts could line them up against each other. Were Russia to attack Turkey, then NATO Article 5 would be invoked, and the war could easily escalate to large scale conventional war between established and otherwise stable states.
    • The relationship between the US and Australia would likely bring Australia into any larger conflict between NATO and their non-DAESH enemies.
    • The tension between the US and Iran, combined with the US alliance with Israel and tension between Israel and Iran (which is supported by Russia, and which was one of the first to fight DAESH) could easily bring both Israel and Iran into the conflict as major regional military powers conducting large scale operations against other nations.
    • The introduction of full-scale Iranian (Shiite military activity could bring in Suni nations in sectarian conflict against Iran. Iran's involvement in Yemin is already causing a rise in sectarian tensions
    • et cetera ad bellum.

Am I the only one who sees the similarities to the early days of the first World War?

Colin Powell did not out Israel for having nukes any more than Ellen DeGeneres came out of the closet for being gay. Everybody already knew.

Even in the 70's, it was well understood that Israel had the Hydrogen Bomb--there was absolutely no secret about it. Israel's refusal to admit having nuclear weapons is just a way to avoid any official attempts by the international community to control or end the Israeli nuclear weapons program. That is why Israel was never a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT); they never wanted to be limited by it.

I had a friend in college (in the 80's) who had lived on a kibbutz in the late 70's. He told me that in Israel they have a saying: "Never again." He explained that it is a reference to the Holocaust. It translates to mean that "nothing like the Holocaust should ever happen again."

My friend went on to explain that very quickly he came to realize that what the Israelis are really saying is "Never again to us, Motherf***ers!" He said that his perception was that most Israelis would rather burn the world than give up that piece of ground they claim as their country.

It has always been scary. Welcome to the club of people paying attention.
