He never said Mexico was going to pay for it with a direct check.

 

Mexico will never fund the wall, but they would be so very glad to finance a bridge construction.
The people who crossed could send back home dollars and that's reality and it's quite unreasonable for Mexico to halt such by building a wall.

If there is really one member of this forum who ever seriously thought that Mexico will pay for a wall which is intended against Mexican people not to enter the USA illegal ... well ... such members maybe still believe in Santa Claus and that he brings at night the gifts through a funnel and so on.

Trump and the USA have no power to force Mexico to do so ... but obviously not only few trolls didn't get this in their brain and believe the BS which trump told! And now ... YOU the US taxpayers have to pay as it was clear from the beginning on!

I say cut Mexico's aid off from the US for starters to help finance the wall. I am sure there are other ways too. We pay 8 billion a year to finance the UN. Use that. I am sure Canada would be happy to pick up the UN's tab.

Already his supporters are coming to his defence, trying to tell us that, 'I will build a wall' isn't what he actually meant and shouldn't be taken literally. PS Mexico will pay. When the illegals are returned to Mexico and the border is closed and businesses are leaving Mexico for the US and NAFTA is renegotiated.... you better believe, paying for the wall will be the least of Mexico's problems and they will gladly do that in exchange for better trade terms and higher legal immigration quota.... It will take a couple of years, be patient.

There is already a 2006 law on the books (one democrats voted for ironically enough) that allows Trump to get to work immediately. You liberals don't think the U.S. has any leverage over Mexico?
