Already Obama has violated the code of ex-presidents

With his mouthing off, it is quite easy for all to see that Obama has no honor, and has violated a long standing code.

I definitely wasn't cherry picking, section 212 grants the president power to restrict visas, but section 202 of the same law limits these powers. The UN also declared the executive order to be illegal under international law.

Trump is an eminence grise. By tradition one of their functions is to; " speak truth to power" whether this is popular or not.

Obama is just another US citizen with the same right and duty to speak up when he sees political power being used unwisely or amorally. You just don't like the fact a lot of Americans listen to him. Former Presidents having had more experience than most , should do far more of this.

this notion that they should shut up and prepare their memoirs, is dated and stupid. If Trump can't handle Obama expressing his views, he has no business thinking he can take on ISIS or China or Russia.

 

I don't remember the Tea Party inciting violence. I remember the protests to be peaceful. The Democrats can obstruct but do it in a peaceful way. Nobody wins with violence.

 

I will agree with you on one thing. Obama has every right to speak against Trump. It's freedom of speech. He should also be speaking out against the violence his party is inciting but he is to loyal to his party for that.

 

I don't condone illegal conduct, but nobody from either party that I know of, has been charged or convicted of incitement since November.
