For you Trump supporters, here is a topic that would be more relevant for you to address. Saudi Arabia financed terrorists in Palestine against Israel; they provided financial aid for suicide v=bombers; they provided the terrorists for 911; they financed al Queda in Iraq, and they not provide a huge number of recruits for ISIS. Aside from the fact that Trump does business there, why is it not included on the travel ban? Do you think ISIS would not use Saudi Arabia as a means of sending their soldiers here?

    https://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/23/...-with-saudi-support-for-salafi-hate.html?_r=0

"Let’s be clear: Al Qaeda, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, Boko Haram, the Shabab and others are all violent Sunni Salafi groupings. For five decades, Saudi Arabia has been the official sponsor of Sunni Salafism across the globe.

Most Sunni Muslims around the world, approximately 90 percent of the Muslim population, are not Salafis. Salafism is seen as too rigid, too literalist, too detached from mainstream Islam. While Shiite and other denominations account for 10 percent of the total, Salafi adherents and other fundamentalists represent 3 percent of the world’s Muslims.

Unlike a majority of Sunnis, Salafis are evangelicals who wish to convert Muslims and others to their “purer” form of Islam — unpolluted, as they see it, by modernity. In this effort, they have been lavishly supported by the Saudi government, which has appointed emissaries to its embassies in Muslim countries who proselytize for Salafism. The kingdom also grants compliant imams V.I.P. access for the annual hajj, and bankrolls ultraconservative Islamic organizations like the Muslim World League and World Assembly of Muslim Youth."

I'm pretty sure Trump knows what kind of dirty snakes the Saudis are. You think he'd let his daughter marry one? Not only no but hell no!

Taking a quote from the article for anyone too lazy to click the link and read for themselves...
Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said on Twitter Saturday that the United States is funding and arming Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.

“If you or I gave money, weapons or support to al-Qaeda or ISIS, we would be thrown in jail. Why does our gov get a free pass on this?,” the congresswoman from Hawaii wrote. Gabbard is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the House Committees on Foreign Affairs and Armed Services. http://dailycaller.com/2016/12/10/democratic-congresswoman-says-u-s-is-funding-and-arming-isis/

According to Hillary's leaked emails, both she and Obama knew what Saudi Arabia was doing for a long time and did nothing. Care to address THAT? But I guess that didn't bother you while the messiah ruled...

Most do. I think the question is why neither Obama nor Trump added SA to that list..

From what I understand SA is a loosely affiliated group of families run by a single king. It seems like most of these problems stem from certain sides, is there any truth to that?

While I value your contributions Margot, I find it curious that you never fail to defend Saudi Arabia, irrespective of her appalling human rights record. Why?

I never suggested you did. My comment was pertinent to the thread, and I'm simply curious as to why Saudi Arabia is treated with kid gloves over many issues. Oil, probably. I can't think of any other reason. Or maybe because they spend a lot of money in America? Why let human rights and international law get in the way when there are deals to be done, and money to be earned...

My recollection of the news is that the travel restrictions were imposed on failed state nations that had been designated as such by the Obama administration.

    Precisely.

I think Saudi Arabia should also be included. Fracking is a game changer.

So you are telling me that Saudia-Arabia financed terrorists? Whaaaaat? Next thing you know you are telling me that Qatar is financing terrorism too. That makes me sound like a dick but I just mean to express that it is widely known that those countries fund terrorism, your government has its reasions to tolerate it.

Saudi Arabia funded the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan in our proxy war with the Soviets and they have paid a price for that.

Human rights, huh. The Saudis know their laws.

When Saudi law conflicts with basic human rights legislation, I can't see how you can possibly condone it, and that appears to be what you are doing. I'm sure you don't need reminding, but:

American jobs or government sponsored torture; which do you consider the more important issue?

NO.. Saudi Arabia has been fighting terrorism since the mid 1900s. ISIS declared war on them 4 years ago and have carried out about 19 suicide bombs in Kingdom. Ten days ago they hunted down a bomb factory and had another fierce gunbattle with ISIS.
