Congress voted against funds for increased security everywhere except the Embassies in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Stevens was to attend a function at Benghazi hospital the morning of Sept 12th to launch a joint venture to develop emergency services. I think the US teaching hospital involved was Mass General. He was scheduled to return to Tripoli later on Sept 12th.

RT .. Sputnik News and other Russian outlets support Assad and attack the US and Obama... Facts simply don't matter.

Charlene Lamb testified that funding was not an issue.

Would you care to comment on the report I presented to you? It does raise a lot of questions...

How about these facts? I read that Libya was the wealthiest nation in Africa, and it seems Ghadaffi did quite a bit for his people. So why did Clinton and Obama have to destroy the country and all those people's lives? I consider them pure evil.

    1. In Libya a home is considered a natural human right

In Gaddafi’s Green Book it states: ”The house is a basic need of both the individual and the family, therefore it should not be owned by others”. Gaddafi’s Green Book is the formal leader’s political philosophy, it was first published in 1975 and was intended reading for all Libyans even being included in the national curriculum.

    2. Education and medical treatment were all free

Under Gaddafi, Libya could boast one of the best healthcare services in the Middle East and Africa. Also if a Libyan citizen could not access the desired educational course or correct medical treatment in Libya they were funded to go abroad.

    3. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project

The largest irrigation system in the world also known as the great manmade river was designed to make water readily available to all Libyan’s across the entire country. It was funded by the Gaddafi government and it said that Gaddafi himself called it ”the eighth wonder of the world”.

    4. It was free to start a farming business

If any Libyan wanted to start a farm they were given a house, farm land and live stock and seeds all free of charge.

    5. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies

When a Libyan woman gave birth she was given 5000 (US dollars) for herself and the child.

    6. Electricity was free

Electricity was free in Libya meaning absolutely no electric bills!

    7. Cheap petrol

During Gaddafi’s reign the price of petrol in Libya was as low as 0.14 (US dollars) per litre.

    8. Gaddafi raised the level of education

Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. This figure was brought up to 87% with 25% earning university degrees.

    9. Libya had It’s own state bank

Libya had its own State bank, which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt.

    War is hilarious.

I wonder how many of Clinton's supporters have seen that.

Muammar Gaddafi was a despicable piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) and the world is a better place without him, but the circumstances surrounding his death are hardly anything to laugh about.

All those programs were put in place by Idris from 1953 thru 1969.

Gaddafi hauled hundreds of millions out of the country..

Let's get to the bottom line here. Russian trolls are all about glorifying Gaddafi, Mubarak and Assad.. They attack Obama and applaud Iran.

So basically you agree that toppling governments and all the death and destruction that goes along with it is a good thing like Iraq, Libya, and Syria. Ever wonder why we now have a Syria refugee problem?

RT is also keeping busy with the propaganda about NATO's build-up near Russia's border. I like it - it tells me that Putin and friends are clearly very bothered by that. They now don't stand a chance of repeating what they've pulled in Ukraine and Georgia.

Nobody is glorifying anyone, but were the countries and the people living in them better under their leaders, or after Washington and Nato became involved? And don't tell me that what the Washington ideologues did wasn't deliberate? You know very well it was and that makes them complicit in the crimes. They are pure evil.

    Are you mental?

How would YOU have stopped a civil war in Libya?

How would YOU have kept Mubarak in power in Egypt?

How would you stop the war in Syria?

Either you are crazy or believe in magic.

Yeah right! Except Russia didn't pull anything in Ukraine and Georgia, and you very well know it.

Oh but look what we pulled in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Ukraine. But it's us, it doesn't matter.

The people hated Gaddafi and the US didn't have to power to keep him in office.

    By not bombing Libya.

By not supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.
    By not arming the terrorists.

It ain't working Margot, try something else.

Now a question, I read that Saudi Arabia is the next nation being prepared for splitsville. Oh that's right, we have Trump now so maybe it ain't gonna happen.

Evidently you are not aware that we supported the 'civil' war with weapons.

Of course. Russia had nothing to do with Crimea being taken over by Russia, and Russia has nothing to do with Eastern Ukraine's separatists having plenty of men, money and weapons to fight with.

^ These guys in Moldova are clearly not Russian because they have no insignia on their uniforms.

^ In Crimea. Again, clearly not Russian. I'm sure they were covering their faces just to keep from catching cold.

    https://anthropoliteia.net/2014/03/31/little-green-men-russia-ukraine-and-post-soviet-sovereignty/

So striking was the presence of this anonymous force on Crimean streets that they were quickly named in Russian slang, “little polite green men” — vezhlevye zelenye chelovechki. The English translation does not do the name justice – “chelovechki” is not just “little men”, but small creatures that are like humans, but are not humans. The name refers to this force as if it were an army of leprechauns. Polite leprechauns with machine guns posed for pictures with children and young women, never taking off their masks and smiling with their eyes only (see pictures). (Their politeness, of course, was staged for the civilian gaze. When they occupied Ukrainian military bases, they failed to impress soldiers who were stationed there with politeness).

What kind of a force were these little green men? What does their presence tell us about Ukraine, Russia, sovereignty, military occupation, post-Soviet lands?

What we witnessed in Crimea is a curious new political technology — a military occupation that is staged as a non-occupation. These curious troops were designed to fulfill two contradictory things at once – to be anonymous and yet recognized by all, to be polite and yet frightening, to be identified as the Russian Army and yet, be different from the Russian Army. They were designed to be a pure, naked military force – a force without a state, without a face, without identity, without a clearly articulated goal.

Most probably because he is still alive to tell, the Priest is situated inside Assad's territory where all the information are controlled and only those beneficial to Assad are propagated. What the Priest learned is most probably what Assad wanted him to have. It's not in detail because the uprising side of the Syrians were not mentioned but only the assimilation of isis into the conflict is expressed more pronouncedly. The situation in Syria is so complicated it's not anymore dissents of the Syrians the only thing involved, but Islamic extremism, Kurds wanted to have their own land, power struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran, Russian interests,Western interests, and Turkish Interests are into it.

Such a hapless country reaching such a grim dire state governed so poorly and victimized by a political dynasty.

I wouldn't have gotten involved in the civil war in Libya. That civil war would have come to whatever conclusion it was going to come to without U.S./European intervention.

I would not have interfered in Egypt's affairs at all.

From the beginning, I would have remained neutral with regard to Syria's internal affairs. I never would have sent arms or CIA trainers to arm and train an insurgent force.

How would I stop it now? I would do everything in my power of influence to get all the other nations who are fueling the war to stop fueling it. I would destroy ISIS because it is a stain and an insult to humanity. I would also try to destroy Al Qaeda elements in Syria because Al Qaeda is our enemy. Other than that, I would let the Syrians stop the war when they were sick of war and ready to stop it, or when one side or the other won the war. I would also be trying to offer constructive solutions to the situation through diplomatic channels.

Quote- The Media Coverage On Syria Is The Biggest Media Lie Of Our Time

Right, Obama and Hillary goofed bigtime by falsely branding Assad a 'tyrant' a while back as an excuse to arm anti-Assad rebels to overthrow Assad so they could cut oil deals with them after he was deposed.
But Assad outsmarted them by turning to his old pal Putin for help against the rebels, and Ob/Hill were left fuming and began feeding fake news to the media, some of whom swallowed it.
Ob/Hill are now history, but the fake news lingers on like a headless chicken running around after its head has been chopped off..:)
Personally I like Assad, here's the "tyrant" posing for selfies with his dishy wife in a Syrian Christian church-

That propaganda piece doesn't mention one thing, that the Russians were asked by the people of Crimea to save them from the Nazis after they had killed over thirty Crimean protesters in the pogrom of Korsun, and after they said they were coming to Crimea to kill more.
