When I read about this before there was no mention of "racial slurs" or the "get out of my country" remark. If it's true then there is no question that it was a hate crime.

Somehow make it more murdery? All manner of people are killed by drunks in or near bars all the time, for a million terrible reasons. Ought we make a distinction of each and every particular motive and add that to legislation as a separate event/crime?.
