One of the huge reasons many of us voted for Trump has come true. Trump nominated a moderate/conservative judge to sit on the SC. We absolutely did not want Hillary to appoint some radical left winger that would pervert the Constitution, rather than apply it. Hopefully he will be able to appoint two and maybe 3 more.
While I agree, a good reason to elect Trump was elected feeling he would nominate Constitutionalist Judges to SCOTUS, IMO it means little to address the real problem. That being the use of Amendments to change law, in the first place, a process outlined in that Constitution. I'll add, even if SCOTUS did or does change law or the accepted meaning of something in the "C", Congress can reverse that decision by passing law or if needed using the Amendment process, allowing States the final outcome.
Besides the good news of having Gorsuch on the court, Schumer forced the republicans to go nuclear, and it will be automatic when Trump nominates his next judge. I guess Schumer was too stupid to understand what he was doing. I guess he was still in a snit over the fact the crooked liar Hillary was not elected.
Just wait until Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies; leftists were having a tizzy over Gorsuch replacing Scalia, many of them will stroke out when Trump replaces her. Imagine, an extreme left-wing socialist replaced on SCOTUS by a judge who believes in individual rights, supports the 2A and distrusts the federal government. Heck, even Breyer and Kennedy might not outlive Trump's first term and we could see him appoint four judges who will actually follow the constitution. Between this and the leftist Democratic Party losing over 1,000 state and federal and state legislative seats since 2010, our long national nightmare might actually be ending...
Yep, everything else is a bonus. That being said I'll be pissed off if he doesn't deport all illegals and build the wall.
Well, IMO you should prepare to be pissed because their is no way he is going to be able to deport ALL illegals.. But, my fam jus visited and said that ICE trucks were gettin em not far from me even.. I'll be satisfied with deporting the criminal ones for now..
