    BREAKING NEWS

    Red Flag # ? (I lost count)

911 calls reveal Nikolas Cruz violent, threatened roommate with gun

Logs of calls to 911 made from the Lake Worth home where alleged mass shooter Nikolas Cruz lived for several months reveal fights, and fears of gun violence.

In one call made in November, Rocxanne Deschamps said a “19-year-old male she was helping out” had threatened her 22 year old son, and stated he “was going to get his gun and come back.”

She said the subject had bought a gun from Dicks Sporting Goods last week and was going to pick it up, and said he had bought “tons of ammo.”

According to Sheriff’s Office incident report dated Nov. 29th, Rock Deschamps said Cruz was a friend of the family and had gotten angry and started punching walls and breaking things inside the home.

Rock said he approached Cruz in an attempt to calm him down, however Cruz punched him in the jaw. Deschamps said he punched Cruz back, who then ran to the nearby park.

The deputy said when he found Cruz, Cruz said he became upset because he misplaced a picture of his mother who recently passed away. As a result, he punched the wall.

Cruz said he was sorry for losing his temper.

This was apparently a different gun than the AR-15 he’d purchased earlier in the year.

Deschamps also said the subject has used a gun against people before, and put a gun to other’s head in the past.

Logs show an unknown male called 911 to say someone just pointed a shotgun at him.

In another call, it appears Cruz called 911 from a nearby park and said he’d gotten mad, and a kid named “Rocky” threatened him and said “he was going to gut him if he came back.”

Anyone who has worked for a government agency for any period of time knows the reason no one did anything - in one word it is incompetence. It is very hard to fire someone in the government for incompetence/poor performance so what is the incentive for anyone to do a good job? The FBI totally dropped the ball on Cruz but I would guess not even a reprimand will result from this poor performance.

Yes I do. The teacher has emotional connection to those students so yes, they would fight for them.

Things will be so much better when we get another 1,000,000,000 gun control laws.

We spent three trillion on foreign wars to keep our kids safe already.
I perfectly understand the immensity of implementing in schools.

I also understand the social pressure put on legislators after each shooting incident
I want to keep my guns, I enjoy hunting.
But if the NRAs answer to each and every shooting is, "Deal with it, nothings going to change ..." then they, and you, don't
understand that at some point mothers and fathers in the millions of homes that do not own an AR-15 are going to start voting
out NRA people and the bans will be bigger and broader than if the NRA had joined the conversation and made a few concessions or
come up with something other than, "**** you. It is what it is. Deal with it."

Well as I mentioned in a previous post the Federal Government doesn't work that way -- but the FBI is what the Government calls Excepted Service so in theory any Special Agents can be fired at any time for any reason and in this case one or more agents need to be fired to send a message.

What's your point? Everyone who gets in a fight or makes a threat should be locked away forever?

Or is your point to scapegoat the cops rather than face up to the problem of how easy it is for these kids to get these kinds of weapons.

How many more people would have have been able to kill had he brought controlled automatic weapons

Who says that it's poor performance? The system worked exactly as intended in order to achieve the desired results the powers that be want. The system identified a person that it determined would become a school shooter and allowed him to do it. That's exactly what the system wanted to happen.

It will continue to happen until the States delete the right to bear arms from their State Constitution Bill of Rights so that they can then say that it should be eliminated from the Federal Constitution.

This is not an instance of incompetency by anyone. It's a well crafted plan to delete the right to bear arms from the Federal Constitution. Once that happens then gun possession will become a federal crime.

Can you provide some evidence or a link that the NRAs reaction to shootings is "Deal With It, Nothing is Going to Change?" Can you provide actual proof that someone from the NRA actually said this? You make the claim so put up or shut up.

It all depends if he had wasted all of his shots on just one person. Automatic weapons fire so many rounds so fast that it's difficult to hit a lot of people unless you really know how to control the gun for maximum effect. So if the shooter had had a fully automatic gun he could have used up all of his ammo on just one or two victims.

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person and maybe there are conspiracies in play but having retired from the Federal Government and worked for DOJ, DHS, etc. I can honestly say I observed a great deal of incompetence over a lot of years so I always have to go with incompetence as a first thought when some agency drops the ball.

A person's primary duty should be to his own family so it's stupid for a person to place his own life in certain death to save someone else.

We've had dozens of mass shootings - has anything ever changed in the NRAs stance on anything in that time? No. Actions speak louder than words.
And I was paraphrasing - happens once every 20 years on this site.

Or we can go the reality route. Leave enforcement on the ground to the states.

Which is what's happening. They are arming their teachers.

Moderate conservatives are joining the conversation and many of us support raising the legal age limit to 21, banning of bump stocks and a much more precise mental health documentation and background check to work with it.

The NRA is not the boogeyman and our influence with our few million of election donations isn't what makes us so powerful. It's not that much money. That's all just leftist media drivle. It's our numbers. Our votes. We are the true power in the NRA. Yes we have some hard liners that don't compromise but small symbolic gestures are what's needed. Until our country can sort this issue out.

    Doable.

Not a federal police force in our schools.

    Ever.

Our Congress will never ban long rifles. If it didn't happen when Obama had a super majority in Congress ten years ago? The devil will hand out snow cones at the gates of hell himself before it happens now.

So that's fear mongering. A leftist opinion worried about AR-15s getting banned? Yeah sure.

Anyway nice chat bored now. The teachers will surprise you I'm sure.

    Cheers.

The NRA has been advocating for armed guards in schools for years. That is their position, i.e., their position is not to do nothing. Yes actions really do speak louder than words. If liberals were really concerned about crime and violence then they would acknowledge the crime and violence committed by illegal immigrants who commit crimes at a far greater rate than native born citizens. The fact is that the agenda with the gun control hysteria is to attack Trump, not to attack crime and violence. The talking heads on CNN were practically foaming at the mouth today. For some reason CNN is always on the TV when I go to the gym. Of course I always change the channel. If liberals really want to have common sense gun control than adopt common sense positions. For example, I would be willing to accept 10 round magazine limits in return for Conceal Carry Reciprocity. That is as long as the bodyguards of people guarding Bloomberg and other elite liberals would likewise be limited to 10 round magazine.

Of course ammosexuals think they're all rambos. After all, they own guns so they'd be prepared in any active shooter situation with a classroom full of scared kids. They're trying to project their paranoid fantasies onto our teachers and it's disturbing.

Anyone who is familiar with statistics is not surprised about this. The Pareto law applies here. In combat, 80% of the damage is caused by 20% of the soldiers. That means that a large majority of soldiers never engage the enemy.

Therefore, to really protect a school you need at least five security guards. Out of those five, one will engage the shooter, the other ones will just hide.

Better than nothing. By your logic nobody should carry. We should all just wait for the police because they are trained.
