Who says the war would be "limited?" It might extend to the Southern Hemisphere because some of the missiles carrying nuclear weapons would come from south of the Equator. As well, the number of weapons involved could be so significant that the impact on the Southern Hemisphere would amount to a nuclear winter.
The comment in the article.... "Germans see U.S. President Donald Trump as a bigger challenge for German foreign policy than authoritarian leaders in North Korea, Russia or Turkey, according to a survey by the Koerber Foundation." ... is critical of Trump and says he's a problem, not that the U.S. is "more pathetic" than North Korea.
The later immigrants in America were assimilated in ways other peoples in the Holy Roman Empire were not in Germany. Americans, for example, almost all speak English whereas as many peoples of the Holy Roman Empire do not speak German. I think you should review your history.
People live in the present and forget their history. In this country, nothing tops the scandal of traitors creating the CSA and starting a war that killed today's equivalent of six million Americans.
I never voted for a Democrat in my life. I'm a free enterprise economist with socially liberal values. That doesn't mean I support racial quotas and school busing, for example. But I am opposed to the insane "war in drugs," and I'm pro-choice.
And we can discuss the Civil War also and the number of people who died as a result, but we're discussing a contemporary topic where your understanding of history is not as important.
That had simply never been the case. Since the Puritans settled New England the United States has had wildly different, rivalrous regional cultures. The Scots-Irish came to form the backbone of Red America, wildly different in outlook not just from American northerners, but most Westerners, much like their Ulsterite cousins. I think you need to be open to more perspectives. Maybe the way we're using words are different. It might be helpful to explore that possibility instead of dismissively telling me to review my history.
Oh good point. Ever seen a map of Qing China? The Russian Empire? The German Empire? Tell me, how bound up was the title "King of the Germans" with that of "Holy Roman Emperor?" There's little that Americans understand about history, and that's the greatest threat we face.
I certainly can explain why Israel and Iran's likelihood of use of nuclear weapons is different, it is simply that one is a rational actor while the other doesn't seem to be so. The difficulty is in conveying this to one who thinks Iran and Israel are similar.
Yes, we had conquered others. 80% were Germany. Rome was only 1% in the roman empire. You now claim ro,ans did nit exist?
If to talk about rationality, than the first one who should drop the nuclear weapons is the US, that quitted the nuclear deal with Iran as this is the least rational thing that ever could be done for the world community. As far as Israel and Iran, of course, they are not similar, Israel has been constantly in the state of war with its neighbour countries for a long time, while Iran- not.
You seem to be exaggerating the situation today. FWIT2U, I've been involved in politics in both this country (born in California) and Canada (my second citizenship). I came by it through my mother who was mayor of a city in California.
You seem determined to ignore my point about the Holy Roman Enpire: "The later immigrants in America were assimilated in ways other peoples in the Holy Roman Empire were not in Germany. Americans, for example, almost all speak English whereas as many peoples of the Holy Roman Empire do not speak German."
Perhaps, but many agree. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/2...i_scandal_getting_closer_to_obama_433694.html That doesn't make your opinion more worthy than any John or Jane Doe. If that was the case we'd all have the same point of view.
So we need more money. This should anyway be part of the military household. What do you cost the federal republic of Germany? And what costs a patron and 30 minutes work time of a professional sniper? We are meanwhile tired about young pseudo-Aryans. 95% of all antisemitic crimes are made from this group of people - your peer group. Nazi go home. Go to hell. You are really lucky that you live in a country which is more strict oriented in Christian values as it was before Hitler came. This is the only barrier between you and hell. And exactly this barrier you like to destroy. What to wish you? Do something against your absurde senility, young man.
Which alliance? Nothing sounds more ugly than the word "friend" spoken from the Colonialist Richard Grenell. I fear we will have to ask Russia and China for help against the USA, if we don't like to end in a nuclear hole in the center of Europe.
For us it's totally unimportant what Mr. President Donald Trump says. He says in the afternoon the opposite of this what he said in the morning. We are lucky that Hitler learned not from him to be liar. I guess such a thing like "reality" exists not for him. ... Oh by the way: "Reality and war". Irreal ideas are indeed able to create a real world. And no one asks us whether we like to live in this world or not. "Blood, sweat and tears" are perhaps comrades for a long time now. We will see.
Germany should be excluded from p5+1. No matter what bloc they favor p5 nations -as the founders of this current order- are the most reliable ones when it comes down to preserving the world peace. We all know Nazis tend to undermine it once again by supporting populist right wing policies to have them run nations. Thats even more dangerous than Shiite or Sunni Wahhabi terrorism. Apart from that, the world order now is becoming too fragile that the P5 just can't afford to risk it by pursuing a conventional war that may be coupled with nuclear strikes that inflict total destruction of the entire socioeconomic system. The reason for that is there will then be no order to get it evolved into something better, let alone restoring something closer to the one that's just got destroyed. Iran is acting like a reckless crippled regime risking recent order's peaceful transition to next phases by abusing what Kerry stupidly handed over: "A priceless opportunity to legitimately threaten Israel's national security via waging proxy wars right at its doors" I know Trump is not what America deserves as a POTUS because I know he's not smart enough to be in charge of setting foreign policy goals for the US by himself. But I also know as a fact that even us democrats should support his approach to problems at the Korean peninsula, in the ME and to some extent with partners in the EU for the sake of the transition. On a side note; Iran just can't have it both ways. It must make a decision between "no-sanction JCPOA" and "control in Syria". The world gave it JCPOA... I think it's better to go with that and abandon the latter ASAP...
