Maybe a COPS show based solely in Chicago. Obama could provide the opening dialogue like was done by Rod Sterling in the Twilight Zone series.

I do have to laugh at the idea that somehow making a documentary or drama about the first black president is some left wing plot. Of course there will be many documentaries on our first black president. It was an important historical landmark for civil rights. They make documentaries about every president, but for some reason some people on the right are paranoid about them doing it about Obama. They are going to make these things about the trump family for the next few decades. It is not a right wing plot, it is because people are interested. If you pass on a documentary about Obama with access to him you just don't like money. I don't care for trump, but if I had a chance to invest in a a serious trump documentary with interviews with him and his family I would be investing.

It just amazes me how far some people hate.

 

Ok. First of all a bunch of old white TV and film executives constantly think that rebooting some early 60s TV show from their youth is a good idea. It never is, and it always fails (McHale's Navy anyone?)
Second of all, I will reinforce my earlier point that this TV show is a reboot of a single shipwrecked Englishman, turned into a family of Swiss shipwrecked, to a family of Americans space wrecked. So I am confused as to your outrage that they had the AUDACITY to change the skin colour of one character and the gender of another. And that is what ruins it for you.
Lastly, this is supposed to be a vanilla, family show. No one is expecting it to be anything else. They are trying to cast a wide net to get viewers to this completely inoffensive show. To have, gasp! one black actor in the show might just bring in more viewers (that is the job of the tv execs, not putting on the best dang family robinson show possible) if that fits the bill for them so be it. Why is it any concern of yours? Why does it upset you? Not sure I understand

 

Don't know why you are confused, I already plainly stated why this crap bothers me. It feels forced and out of place. It adds nothing to the story, and only serves to satisfy Progressive Identity politics. It's overdone, transparent, and offensive.

It's not just lost in space either, it's happening everywhere, some if already mentioned.
As to why it's a concern of mine..I see confusion is strong in you. Lets recap.I was a paying Netflix customer. I got turned off by the progressive narratives. I cancelled my sub. Simple as that. When you pay for a product, and it starts becoming something you don't enjoy...you dump the product and go elsewhere.

Quotas and tokenism, and I don't wish to support it. If you do wish to support it, enjoy...I do not, and I don't need any approval from the left of my distaste of their obvious narratives.

 

Billy Dee was great as Lando. Back then it wasn't all Progressive Diversity Quota narratives like it is today where you have to make sure every TV show or commercial has at least 1 black, a Latino, an empowered Woman and a White Male for everyone else to look down on and use as comic relief.

We'll have to see how much of the Obama Administration's corruption comes to light. My guess is that is actually the point of this, a way to create 'documentaries' to counter the real world information that proves how corrupt they were...
