Why do liberals want no limit open borders?

I'm a liberal, and I've never known another liberal, anywhere, anytime, who advocated for "open borders." Neither do I. This whole "open borders" fear mongering is nothing more than conservative propaganda designed to create fear and convince voters to support Republican candidates. It is all based on lies.

 

How many examples do I need to produce before you'll accept the claim that some liberals do indeed advocate for open borders, and that said "propaganda" isn't?

 

Some is a huge distance from all, which many claim. It's the same as when liberals accuse ALL conservatives of wanting gay people dead, or soldiers dead because god's punishing us for the gays.

There may be exceptions out there who advocate for open borders, but they are a small minority & don't speak for the majority of us liberals. They certainly don't speak for me. Conservatives who claim all liberals favor open borders are lying, and causing unnecessary fear & stress for the general public.

Instead of being single minded, look in the mirror. It’s the unwillingness to address comprehensive immigration reform by the GOP that’s the problem. While you guys whine about liberals, you think it’s OK for your conservative buddies in business to hire hundreds of thousands of illegals . They re the ones breaking the law, they’re the reason . Canada doesn’t have a Wall, or a need for one.

 

Your information on liberal views on immigration are incredibly ill-informed. Obama was a moderate liberal, and he deported more illegals than his five predecessors combined. I don't know where conservatives get their information. Probably the FOX propaganda station. Or, they just make it up as they go.

 

It’s impossible to know what Trump really wants because he lies so much. Other then dictators and Ivanka, no one gets a “straight” answer.

As I've posted before, I don't know anyone or of anyone who is for completely "open borders." This whole campaign by conservatives to attach that policy to liberals as if it was real is both infuriating and dishonest. Governing a country based on differences conjured up from imagination and/or deliberate malfeasance varies from extremely difficult to impossible. It's really not a good way to approach governing or politics in general.

Simply not hiring illegal workers would do wonders with severe fines on businesses that do makes the real difference but requires comprehensive immigration reform to make it functional.
