What about the Peeps Job where he could help his own people from his State out. Why do you avoid the Peeps reality.

As president he couldn't do as much as he could for his own state than as a being a Senator from that State.

Well, black people should do whatever they want and not be manipulated by politicians and celebrities.

I'm glad West is speaking up and saying that he will go against the expectation. But individuals should do what's best for themselves. I don't like the way the left seems to group people by some arbitrary characteristic. West is an individual the fact that he is black is immaterial.

I mean I don't think they're in any danger of this going big. This is a pretty bare attempt at making money

I think black people should abandon the Democrat Party if they want to.

The point I'm making is nobody should do something or vote a certain way because of their skin color. Again I'm okay with what Kanye West is doing and what he's doing maybe a sort of inspiration to other people so I recognize that usefulness.

But one of the things that drives me insane about the Democrat Party is the idea that because you have a b or c characteristic you should vote this way. And those characteristics are stupid in immaterial with regard to policy.

Well John Kerry is also filthy Rich shouldn't he also like Trump?

You're trying to make a false dichotomy here that the Bad Evil rich people vote for republicans and some of them are Democrats.

Does Kanye have a coherent argument in favor of Trump? I've heard his statements at the White House were not so.

The Democrats have abandoned liberals. I'm mostly liberal in all my voting life I have never once voted for a Democrat Federal office holder. I would support the 1980s and 1960s Democrats but that's who Trump is most resembling. I wasn't personally happy with John McCain or Mitt Romney or George Bush for that matter. But they were better than Barack Obama or Al Gore and John Kerry.

I agree.....that's why the Blue Dog Demos gave Trump the win. The Repubs couldn't do it by themselves. Look at how the Democs have treated them.

Well honestly he's a musician. So I don't know if he really has a strong grasp on politics in general. But people aren't supporting Kanye because of his political analysis they're doing so because he's cutting against the grain. For so long since about the 1930s black people have voted heavily for Democrats. Not that that's wrong people should be able to choose whoever they want two vote for regardless of their race. But often times when people cut against the grain they tend to set a trend especially if they start out is a cultural Trend setter.

I doubt that he supports Trump because he's rich there are probably thousands of very rich black people that are Democrats.

Well it's kind of liberating when you break away from political Orthodoxy. I am not a Republican and I am not a Democrat I am independent and on the liberal-conservative Spectrum I tend to lean more liberal. There are certain things I am very conservative with there are other things I'm very liberal with.

The nuance comes in when you start thinking for yourself.

If it is simply a matter of encouraging people to be more independent and less herdish in their voting choices, great, though this obviously needs to be applied universally.

I agree. The thing that bothers me about this is the idea that black people need a leader. They're just people like everyone else. They should do what they feel is right.

You can even disagree with regard to politics, discuss it and get along. The idea that different opinions means you are a bad person is childish and illogical.

So you're saying people who don't debate exactly like you are nazis?

    Well that's just typical!

But the system rewards herdish behavior.

We can’r expect people to behave more individually and independently if there is no payoff for that choice.

And that sums up quite nicely why we have a two-party system.

Proportional representation (IMO) is the only way out of the gridlock.

But it will take a miracle to pull off.

Indeed. Such a change is too fundamental for this bitterly divided, overly hyped-up nation to support. We're mostly at a political stalemate and standstill, there is so much hostility and opposition.

I don't know, WTF IS "proper black folk"? You are the one trying to set the idiotic standard for how blacks are supposed to think. It is about color as far as you are concerned. You exposed yourself with the "Koonye" thing. It was offensive, even if you are black.
