Hell no... My retirement is intricately tied with the market, and I've been very happy with the first 1/3 of the year. I'm just hoping May 2019 doesn't turn out like October and December 2018, because months like those take multiple months to make up.....
True, but I’m not trying to take his words out of context . Hell I seen when Hollywood hack, and leftist unfunny man Bill Mahr said on tv, he hopes for a recession.
There's been a lot of that nonsense going around, and it's been funny listening to Biden floundering around trying to badmouth the economy.
Seems like the American companies are not being very diligent in hiring then. But, they do so willingly. Knowing about possible spies. Do we need a huge bloated gov't to protect the companies from their own harm? We can't do that for individuals in America per the RW, why should our gov't protect the companies?
Do you have that quote? And his policy then, to help the pending crash? I only remember the 'Every American in their home' policy.
The DJI nearly tripled in the 8 yrs Obama held the prez office. FACT JACK!! Don't forget the over 75 months of consecutive private sector job growth. UE from 10% to 5%.
As many a Russian or near the same amount. But we aren't concerned about Russian spies, are we? And why can't companies do their own vetting? Or how do these spies get into the country? Doesn't our immigration system vet them?
January 3, 2003 – January 3, 2005 Senate President Dick Cheney (R) Senate President pro tem Ted Stevens (R) House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R) Members 100 senators 435 members of the House 5 non-voting delegates Senate Majority Republican House Majority Republican Sessions 1st: January 7, 2003 – December 8, 2003 2nd: January 20, 2004 – December 9, 2004 And in 03, R's had the country in their power. What did they do to curb the pending crash? Here's what bush and the R congress did. December 16, 2003 President Bush Signs American Dream Downpayment Act of 2003 1:57 P.M. EST THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all. Thank you for coming. Thanks for the warm welcome. It's great to be back at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is not my first time here, nor will it be my last. (Applause.) I am here today because we are taking action to bring many thousands of Americans closer to owning a home. Our government is supporting homeownership because it is good for America, it is good for our families, it is good for our economy. https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2003/12/20031216-9.html So much for their warning 2 yrs earlier.
No, it was balls to the wall already at that point. He and the R's just threw gas onto an already roaring fire.
While I do agree that the Republicans are just as guilty ofignoring Bush's warning, I don't see what the ADDA of 2003 had anything to do with the crash. All the ADDA entailed was a Government grant to assist in a down payment of up to $10,000. It had nothing to do with a person obtaining approval for a loan or whether they had the ability to repay the loan.
After it collapsed under the Democrat congress, the failed stimulus and in spite of Obama. Don't forget UE went from the 4.5% the Republicans handed that Democrat congress to 7.5% and then with Obama in the WH h to 10% even though his stimulus was supposed to cap it at 8% and remained over 8% for the next 4 years while the LFPR plummeted. The worst recovery and unemployment in modern history. And had we just increased jobs by 1 job a month for those 75 months your statement would be true. It's the numbers and quality of the jobs that matter.
You think aiding 40,000 families to save for down payments and closing cost is what caused the mortgage crisis?
Bush's SEC did end the double short ban. That decision with mark to market guaranteed the crash. OTOH, Bush's regulator warned Congress of the coming crash. They ignored him.

With your avatar picture, I wouldn't be calling anyone cockroaches, it's a compliment to all cockroaches. Btw, it's the same avatar as Russian trolls have been using.
I find it remarkable how both sides can create ad hoc reasons for why good news is in spite of the opponents in power and bad news because of. And vice versa.
LOL! As well as good news because of "your" president in power, and bad news in spite of. In reality, the president has a lot less influence on the economy and the stock market than what people believe.
