    So you said, several times. Again ... that was left for congress. Barr took it upon himself to make false, unsubstantiated conclusions on the reports contents while withholding access to its true contents for more than a month. You are omitting the reason that Mueller stated he was not charging Trump, which was based on the opinion that a sitting president cannot be indicted and which Barr lied about.

    Don't know, it may to be to question him about the Trump Tower meeting as they investigate how Fusion and Steele set things up and may have been part of it. Or some other question about the spying on the campaign.

    No one seems to be saying. And Burr has been very cooperative with Warner and the Democrats it may just be them wanting to question him about who knows what of any consequence.

    Ahh sorry but the Special Counsel and the DOJ cannot abdicate their constitutional duties to the Congress. Only the SC and DOJ can charge someone with a crime, NOT the Congress. And the decision had nothing to do with the OLC opinion which would not prevent him from bringing a charge anyway, it just delays any serving on an indictment and prosecution. That is what happened with Clinton. He wasn't removed so the indictment was held until he left office.

    I don't suppose it occurred to you that the Senate committee might simply host this as a forum for Don to respond to the spurious lies that Cohen spewed? no? The obvious answer here is to put this testimony on the record to do just that. NPR were breathless this morning speculating about this. Turns out, the obvious answer is the one I provided.
