Who knew that one liar could get millions of people to believe that Obama was not born in the US. Who knew that one guy could get thousands of people to kill millions of other people!

Why would Ukraine have the server?

The FBI got a disk image.

The hackers used Mimikatz, a hacking tool used once an intruder is already in a target network, to collect credentials, and two other kinds of malware: X-Agent for taking screenshots and logging keystrokes, and X-Tunnel used to exfiltrate massive amounts of data from the network to servers controlled by the GRU. Mueller’s report found that Unit 26165 used several “middle servers” to act as a buffer between the hacked networks and the GRU’s main operations. Those servers, Mueller said, were hosted in Arizona — likely as a way to obfuscate where the attackers were located but also to avoid suspicion or detection.

In all, some 70 gigabytes of data were exfiltrated from Clinton’s campaign servers and some 300 gigabytes of data were obtained from the DNC’s network.

But, said Barger and other experts, that overlooks the possibility the files were copied multiple times before being released, something that may be more probable than not in a bureaucracy like Russian intelligence.

“A hacker might have downloaded it to one computer, then shared it by USB to an air gapped [off the internet] network for translation, then copied by a different person for analysis, then brought a new USB to an entirely different air gapped computer to determine a strategy all before it was packaged for Guccifer 2.0 to leak,” said Barger.

Every time the files were copied, depending on the method they were transmitted, there would be a new chance for the metadata to be changed.

Hultquist said the date that Forensicator believes that the files were downloaded, based on the metadata, is almost definitely not the date the files were removed from the DNC.

Sure is a lot of words without saying anything. The FBI got a disc image? They should have had physical access to the server, but the DNC refused them. Sounds fishy.

Why? Do you think there was some data hidden in the power supply or something?

It took 50 years for Obama to prove he was born here. I had to prove it when I got a job as a teenager.

I have a program that will allow you to insert data, remove data and alter data of a disk image. Whatever data is on a disk image can be manipulated. Heck, did you ever read or hear about what Stuxnet did or how it worked? If you did you wouldn’t put all your chips on an image someone else wanted you to see.

Do you know what metadata is?

Democrats are now Russia? What the AG and Durham are doing is getting to the bottom of the intelligence abuse before and after the 2016 election.

If you choose to alter data you will alter data.
I don't know much about metadata. I don't need to. There are experts for that.
But if you know all about it could it not have been as stated above?

Ok, so I copy a music CD via an image, remove the data that tells you it’s an image and you’re convinced I’m telling the truth. Now take a look at who wants you to think they’re telling the truth. They coukd have allowed the FBI to make their own image, it takes less than an hour and maintains the chain of custody. But they did not do that and got away with it.

This reminds me of the intentional ignorance of the peopke who wanted us to believe 6 specific IRS computer hard drives crashed at the exact moment we needed what was on them, the data wasn’t recoverable. Best yet, the Records Retention Act requires that all Corp and government emails be retained and backed up on the servers they’re sent and received on, not hard drives. But praise be Allah, those back ups failed and Lerner took the 5th.

The evidence is only as good as the intellegence and biases of the peopke who look at them.

    Are you sure they didn't?

Crowdstrike, for its part, did what forensic investigators do when there’s a data breach: They followed standard data collection and forensic protocols, collected log data and other data and provided it forensically to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. Sometimes in such cases, the forensics are done by the FBI or other law enforcement agency, but more often than not, it’s done by a third-party forensics entity using the same or similar tools to what the FBI would do. Chain of custody, forensic tools and other precautions typically are taken to ensure that the data is usable after the fact.

    ----------------

Now those of us in the forensic community understand (well, most of us do) that, particularly when it comes to the cloud, data rarely resides on “a server.” In fact, as a result of the hack, the DNC ultimately imaged and then decommissioned more than 140 servers and hundreds of individual PCs. The images were provided to the FBI, which again is standard forensic procedure. Crowdstrike, under the direction of the DNC, provided the FBI with disk images, memory dumps, network logs, IDS/IPS logs, endpoint management logs and other relevant data. Like the company typically would do.

It makes a great conspiracy theory, but that's about it. To complicated and to many ways to miss something.

I love this thread was started. The Left, DNC, and Hillary Clinton are about to receive one of the biggest legal slap downs in U.S. History as these reports come out on FISA Abuse and the start of the Investigation over the next few weeks. We had James Clapper in full panic mode tonight saying, the president told me to do it. He's afraid of prison. It's time to come clean, first come = no bars.

Obama is ****ed too! This is going to be entertaining.

He's toast. Brenner is likely even worse. I wonder which one rolls on Obama completely first? It's all coming out over the next few weeks. Durham has them dead to rights.

This is one of the biggest scandals of our lifetime and CNN ignored it for years along with the rest of the MSM.

Seriously. Your trying to build an investigation on a conspiracy theory.

He didn’t find enough evidence to recommend charges. That’s all that matters in the United States

"The challenges to CrowdStrike’s credibility are significant because the firm was the first to link last year’s hacks of Democratic Party computers to Russian actors, and because CrowdStrike co-founder Dimiti Alperovitch has trumpeted its Ukraine report as more evidence of Russian election tampering."

Why do you and the left want to impeach Trump for investigating Russian interference?

Because he could only gain his US citizenship by being born on US soil due the circumstances of his parents.

Rather old news....the focus now is the DOJ investigation into the Ukrainian collusion in the 2016 election, along with the scale of the corruption in the former Ukrainian Admin in the wake of the Russian invasion and chaos that came about after Obama's "more flexible with Putin" policy after his aid in the 2012 election.

This of course is why the Dems are obstructing the investigation and are in full panic mode in the House
