Deutsche Bahn Train company claps back at Greta Thunberg over floor pic, notes 'first class' seat

When you have a reserved seat, then you have a seat. Its that easy.

 

Im young myself, travel regulary with train and nobody walks through the ICE and sits down on the floor.

 

Asperger's/autism is what the handlers claim; there is also speculation as to other conditions, but unsubstantiated so not worth repeating.

The whole thing is a setup that has escalated into a full-blown professional lobbying organization. I did all manner of "bad" prankish, offensive things at 16, saying or even being coached to say in public or private that people should be "put up against the wall," claiming that my middle class white "childhood had been stolen" or faking photo ops such as in the OP not among them. That is where this media circus ended, nobody realizes it yet. Don't worry too much about her, she'll be rich and cavorting with celebrities on their yachts, a feature of their parties "discussing" climate change for years while truly public interested, accomplished teens are ignored entirely. I don't feel a bit sorry for her, her crappy parents, or the celebrity-culture MSM redistribution/consumption machine that fuels the whole thing.

 

There are a couple of -real- things she -could- do but fat chance. Call up Scott Presler and get involved with his movement for one. They have a whole slate of cleanups planned. Would PO her own media machine and the other side that have been hating on her at the same time.



But I have a hunch she's going to do a bunch more partying with celebs and threatening to put people against the wall instead. Just a hunch. Prove me wrong Greta. That's some crow I would LOVE to eat.

 

Well she claims that she had a seat only for part of it. To be fair, she didn't say that she was on the floor for the entire trip but she is guilty of not telling the full story. Are we supposed to think that she was making an over-population argument?

 

Careful, she's warned us she'll "put us against the wall".

 

Some reporters found her car she was roving around in and it was full of garbage. Chip bags, plastic bags, etc etc.

The level of disconnect here required to praise her praise of the crowded train while.....nevermind, I'll get get a brain cramp.

I trust two indicators on climate, neither group "scientists." 1. The people I know and have been side by side with doing water-supply charity work for decades, mostly political opposites, but they know what they are talking about and it's not conflicting theories, but based on real knowledge, they get their hands dirty before asking anyone else to do anything; and 2. real estate prices, COASTAL real estate prices. Will start worrying when either of those buzz, not people who are lobbyists, live on government grants, "coincidentally" do green energy venture capital deals, celebrities, media or politicians seeking more power over the rest of us.

 

You not doing it is not the same as "nobody" doing it. And, I'm guessing here, you aren't travelling on the Eurorail, are you?

 

I don't really know what to make of Greta Thunberg. Some of the stuff she says and does seems counterproductive and sometimes silly to me. That sailing trip was a bit of a farce and I wonder if a flight wouldn't have left a smaller carbon footprint than that all the drama it caused.

Still, I think she genuinely means to do good for the planet and I admire her will to do it. All I cared about with 16 was myself. At the core, she tells people to "listen to the scientists, not to me."

I can go with that. We're circling the drain and I knew that before some 16 year old came along to tell me. I'm a grown-up. No need to throw all the hate at her.

 

The climate change hoax is bad enough when grown ups believe in the myth. It is even worse when some spoiled rich white kid wants to lecture people about it.

 

Dude, km not blind you know? People im Germany sit on their ****ing seat. And of course i dont travel eurorail. I use ICE when travel inside Germany. For evrything else aircraft. Eurorail is for working class drones.

 

Was the train overcrowded? Sure . she may have had a nice compartment but were there any people who did not? If there were then her picture is representative of their condition.

 

You see the train waggon is empthy. If it would have been overcrowded, people would be in the hallway next her.

So, it's a PR stunt from St. Greta. I think it's about time for the PR agents to find Greta a boyfriend. She is almost 17 after all.

 

I am not trying to criticize down activism onworking to improve are areas, but so many Americans don't understand that "cleanup" or trash removal or improving neighborhoods does essentially nothing to improve Earth's climate.

It is quite typical for Republicans to see a street beautify by removing trash, but essentially that is moving trash from one place to another. But its (relatively) quick and easy to do that, though, and people who don't go any deeper feel like they made a big improvement in our planet.

But they haven't. It's like children who clean their room, but do nothing to end the dry rot, the mold, the joists up and below that are sagging prepared to collapse, and all the structures that need to be are needed for a healthy and strong places to live.

The Trump trash cleanups are quick and easy, but don't help our children's futures. The activists who work to try to stop the rot of the earth we would like to keep is the hard work, the work Republicans want to ignore.
