We are in agreement. I was addressing the classlessness of Wilson's verbal comment and it was over in one second, pelosi on the other hand, spent the night making a complete and total ass of herself but she has had a lot of practice doing that over the entire last year.

Exactly. The Democrats are furious because they are on the wrong side of all the issues they claim to advocate for. Trump has done more in three years for blue collar workers, low income minorities, low income students, and the middle class than the Democrats have done in decades.

 

The speech documented all the economic good news which the Democrats have nothing to do with. For example - criminal justice reform. Democrats have talking about that for years. Trump got it done.

 

You're not wrong. What the Democrats should have done from the beginning is take the high road, and be a contrast to Trump's immaturity and stupidity. Instead they tried to match his nincompoopery by being raving fanatical lunatics. To be fair, that was only some of the Democrats, but they were far more vocal than the rest.

The sad thing is, it would have probably been far more effective at triggering Trump than what they did do. By acting like the adults in the room instead of joining Trump in his muck, it would have pissed him off that he wasn't getting the responses he wanted. The responses he's been getting from Democrats after he says something stupid and they practically set themselves on fire with outrage.

It's not hard to make Trump look like a ****** rocket. He does most of the work for you. You only lose when you try to match him in ******iness.

 

Considering the criminal justice vote passed the Senate 87-12 and the House 358-36, I'd say the Democrats did have something to do with it.

Interesting facts. There were only 6 more Republican passing votes for the House bill than Democrat passing votes. All nay votes were from Republicans.

Likewise in the Senate. All nay votes were from Republicans.

 

The DEMS are good at one thing for sure... Self-destruction.

Regardless of Republican/Democrat "credit", it's proof that when they work together they can get something done. Also, with the President's liberal leanings in many regards, it would appear government can get a lot done.

It's up to Pelosi, Schumer and McConnell to find ways they can work together. Maybe try not being children and send things to Trump's desk and no, he doesn't have to give them the "okay", that's a privilege reserved to the President. Maybe stick their necks out like freaking politicians.
